So what, do you say the same about Soufs and Rusty or PHOC? The Sharks had Geoffrey Edelston in the 80's but where is he now?

Rorting a win? Your club is impersonating a football team. And very poorly too.

Don't care much about Souths...
at least they have a future since they wised up about Piggins.

Do the Rorters have a future that does not involve chequebook development ?

And for the record if you actually think I care about the Woolaware Scum you really do need to buy a clue, as you obviously have none.

Merging clubs achieves nothing.
Look at crowds for St.George/Illawarra and Balmain/Wests, logic says they should be drawing between 20-25,000 if you add their averages before they merged yet they are averaging half. Effectively they have killed off half their active support.
Besides the perception is Saints and Balmain have taken over both these mergers.

It's time the NRL got serious and helped get the Roosters and Rabbitohs together.
A match made in heaven. That'd be almost as good as the Beagles debacle.

(Edit): Sorry, this was done earlier. But it's still not as good as getting Israel and Palestine under the same flag at the next Olympics. Well done Bumble

I love Parra, and with Saints, we are among the best supported Sydney clubs win, lose or draw. The NRL know it & Channel 9 have known for ages.
The fans just don't turn up unless we're a chance of winning the title.

And no mention of Panther crowds being down more than ours??

I wonder why?

Just another pathetic Rooster bashing thread.

A group wank by braindead tards.

Chook.

Paul's stats on stats.rleague.com - someone has forgotten to remind him that STG v SYD @ Aussie in R7 was a STG home/neutral game, not a Roosters game. Sydney's average is nowhere near 13.4k!

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Granted that you both have numerous people identifying themselves as supporters but in Parra's case they are the ones who turn up exclusively when the side is winning and in the Saints case they prefer to watch it on TV, knowing that the majority of Dragons games will be aired on 9.

Why don't you let him know?
You're the one that picked up on it and people who run sites invite corrections and suggestions.
You should know the drill by now Timmer.

Of course Parra and the Dragons have a bigger fan base GAMEFIRST. Look at their catchment area for fans. I dont deny that many Roosters fans are fairweather. But the club has grown and prospered under extremely difficult circumstances. Look where the passion got Dragons fans. They sold their identity for the merger cash. Ans the Parra boss would sell its licence to Yawnion in a heartbeat. Dont think Uncle Nick would ever do the same somehow.

In 10-20 years time i will bet my life that both merged clubs will be even stronger and bigger than most others, including tthe Roosters.
Selling their identity is what the Roosters do by always buying St George Illawarra players-Fitzgibbon, Roberts--instead of developing their own.
Dragons have never sold their sole-they have enhanced & secured their next 100 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for your Roosters-who again i admire because they are so professional, i would be worried about their constant low crowds, no juniors and bad public image-something Saints don't have to worry about.

As they say my friend, once you lose respect, then little is left!

As for uncle Nick- he is only one man who's pockets are becoming empty from propping up his team- he would know that if Rooster crowds remain this level in the next 2 years, then who will " sell their identity" then?
Their crowds i think may decrease-they tend to inflate as is!!!!!

Facts are there for all to see!

Neither club has that many real fans all my respect for those who do turn up week in week out but even those fans must admit that both clubs have little future with so few people turning up to watch them and both existing pretty much in the same area. They either need to get together or one needs to move because eventually one will swallow the other up which will cause alot more heartbreak than a merger which would be the powerhouse of the NRL.

Translation: I know nothing about Easts and how they operate so i'll just make up a lie and hope it sticks.
Do you know what we bring in from sponsership, what our leagues clubs bring in, gate receipts and how much rent from the propertys we own?
More than enough to run the club without Uncle Nick dipping into his pocket.

Your drivel proves you have no idea.

St.George have sold their soul, their next premiership will be their first. The club sold it's history off to get a handful of Illawarra juniors. The club has the ground, the money and the support it should reclaim it's wonderful history before it is forgotten. Make their next prem No.16. At least the Roosters still have their history. Can you imagine great soccer clubs or even Collingwood in AFL selling out like St.George did?

Didn't see a comments link anywhere there... although I'm probably blind

What do you know about this R26 SCG move?

All I can say is imagine if their performances of this year continued at around this level or worse for.. say 15-20 years?

Imagine their Leagues club went broke, and an incompetent fool took over the running of everything.

Imagine how many people they'd get to their games then?

League Club money at Bondi Junction turns over 30-40 Million per year-mainly from pokies-like most clubs.
This and Uncle Nick saves you-you area fool to think otherwise.

Secondly, your ' gate receipts" as you put it wouldn't pay Wings weekly wage for the whole season- you have no gate receipts to include when analysing your income streams.

These are facts my friend.
