All I can say is imagine if their performances of this year continued at around this level or worse for.. say 15-20 years?

Imagine their Leagues club went broke, and an incompetent fool took over the running of everything.

Imagine how many people they'd get to their games then?

Your current management has seen you run away to Homebush for the money- in Parra, Dogs & Tiger territory.

Souths are so dumb that most have given up hope!

One more year of your crowds & performance will ensure you will no future in the NRL.

And it ain't looking good! Sorry-other clubs have made better strides!!!

League Club money at Bondi Junction turns over 30-40 Million per year-mainly from pokies-like most clubs.
This and Uncle Nick saves you-you area fool to think otherwise.

Secondly, your ' gate receipts" as you put it wouldn't pay Wings weekly wage for the whole season- you have no gate receipts to include when analysing your income streams.

These are facts my friend.

What about the other clubs Easts own?
What about the property?
You have next to no idea how much we bring in.

Easts Leagues on Spring St, Bondi Junction is the only club.

They have no property related to their Leagues Club- i am sure though the players and Uncle Nick may have a few around the Eastern Suburbs etc. but that's beside the point- you need income from which to pay the Football operations- and Easts Leagues is the major funder- you should know your club better my friend.

Why is it that when Sydney poor crowds are talked about the two favourite chestnuts come out:
1. There is lots of teams in Sydney &
2. There isn't anything to do in any city other than Sydney?

Lets look at those two oft triped suggestions.
1. There is lots of AFL teams in Melbourne, doesn't stop them drawing 40,000 crowds
2. Given the TV audience for RL in Sydney it would appear that there isn't much to do for RL fans other than stay at home and watch it on the telly!

As someone from Brisbane, I think both your crowds are crap and one of you has to go to the Central Coast.

As someone from Sydney, you had your own State League that's still as unprofessional as it was 50 years ago. Be thankful you have a team in OUR competition :D!

Wrong on both counts there.
Berkeley Sports Club and Kingswood Sports Club and they DO own property around the Eastern Suburbs.
Back in your box son.

shame someone beat me to it because I would have said you know Jack crap - nothing in fact - do yourself a favour and log onto the Eastern Suburbs Leagues site and have a look - one property at Wollongong, One at Bondi, and one at Kingswood - plus units in the Eastern Suburbs - but you keep on going, your making us all laugh at your stupidity - maybe you go us mixed up with Souths?

Of course the legends in their own minds come out in numbers when the greatest football club in the world has a bad year or two.

But as all should know as certain as the Soviet Russian victory was from day one over the criminal german and axis countries invaders the Greatest Football club in the world will be back bigger and stronger than ever.

There are only two types of people - those that follow the greatest football club in the world and those that wish they did.

ch9 is a roosters supporter isn't news limited aswell...why would they want to hang sh*t on their own club... correct me if im wrong but prior to the st george/illawarra merge wasn't the dragons total wins greater than the roosters even though they had been in the comp 13 yrs longer...

so i dont know what this fool is talkin about :iwstupid: but it seems there has been at least one club who pwns the roosters winning percentage...

and its hardly been one year...its the second year in a row your so called greatest team in history havnt made the play-offs...now in a period of 30yrs the GREAT st george team of the 50s, 60s and 70s only missed the finals twice....

That is GREATNESS admit it...so many of ur supporters just jumped on the bandwagon when you were lucky enough to be one of the better teams in the comp...now ur playin sh*t so they have all deserted your joke of a club

No1 is talking about ur decline in numbers because no1 cares, unlike other great teams, when the roosters arent winning no1 cares about them, you have no greatness, no legacy and im enjoying seeing you down the bottom where you belong

Other than that, have a nice day! :thumb

Current management? The decision to move to Telstra was made before Peter Holmes a Court took over. With the re-development of Redfern Oval into a state of the art training facility seeing our links to the area strengthened, we'll be back at Aussie when the current contract runs out.

And why will one more year of poor crowds and performance ensure we have no future in the NRL? The club is moving forward in leaps and bounds for the first time in 20 odd years. With your lack of juniors, small fan base, small geography (your club has conceded this by changing its name twice in attempt to rake in more fans) and poor team, I think your clubs future in the NRL outside of Gosford is looking shaky.

You can try to argue with everything I've said, but its all fact.

I'm not sure. Real Insurance is our sponsor and the Rabbitoh is our logo. Does that help?

Likewise our logo has always been the Roosters. So whats your point? Yeah our name change but our name represented our area. Our name never sold out in the name of a product.

I'm not sure what your getting at and I'm pretty certain that your not sure either. What I do know is that in 1908 there was no team called the Roosters, Eastern Suburbs Roosters, Sydney Roosters or Sydney City Roosters. There was a team called the Eastern Suburbs Tri-colours. That team is long gone though.

Yet, we didn't sell out our history, our identity for some cash and a few juniors.

And, for the record - we are heading towards 1000 wins in our history...IIRC correctly - we will be the first club to do so.

Another note in an already illustrious history book for the Roosters.

That stat is the most worthless in the game. No one outside you club even has a clue about it, nor cares. Greatness is measured in premierships, not some insignificant stat that no one knows about.

To be pedantic, it would actually have been the "Eastern Suburbs Rugby League Football Club." IIRC, Official Monikers only came into existance during the 1950's. The designation of 'Tri-Colours', much like 'Berries' and 'Shoremen' never formed an official part of those clubs names.

Easts are still with us, operating under the name 'The Sydney Roosters.' And their history is just as long and just as proud as yours.

Sh*t crowds though.
