What's happening to the proud traditions at the Roosters :

Knees to opponents heads & face plants in tackles; [-X
full on sledging & trash talk; [-X [-X
stiff arms & high tackles. :-&

Do you think that Sticky is coaching these tactics???
I know that the Roosters are not the only club doing these things but do they want to be "The dirtiest team in the league"??????

considering that rickos sent off against manly was our first in more than 7 months !

Sledging is part of league, some may not like it but, it's all about getting an edge over your opposition, and if sledging helps then so be it.

knees and faceplants, definatly not part of the roosters game.

Stiff arms can be really good weapon if it is kept around the chest, of course you run the risk of a high tackle, but thats the same as a shoulder carge, and a lifting tackle turning into a spear tackle.

the roosters is a diciplined side, but they are not perfect and things like this will creap into their game, there are many teams that are alot worse than the roosters.

Turn it up Mario. That was constant in Friday night game and is nothing new. Crocker is ridiculous. In fact some of those headslams to the tackled player were disgraceful and deserved sideline time.

If you find it a problem then you should also direct it at every other team. Nearly every tackle in every game the opposition is holding the players face into the ground as they get up to be in position before the play the ball, hell Hoppa was using his elbow when we played Manly.

Personally it shouldnt be allowed. I thought they banned it last year but every game Ive seen this year it still goes on.

I reckon he was the worst offender.
I don't doubt that other teams are doing it, but I don't think that it's something that a team should aspire to...

& I'm really sick of "the new Terry Hill" Hodges

I've been trying to find out what knee to an opponents head Eddo is talking about. Are we talking this year? Can someone please enlighten me. I've checked the charge sheets from this year, and haven't found anything.

As for dirtiest tactics, I haven't seen any squirrel grips or anal probes yet so I think they might need to watch a few more Manly games to learn from the master if they want that crown.

I reckon if you checked the skid marks on Finch's undies after Clinton, Ross and Puletua ran at him a few times, you'd realise that he was indeed the dirtiest player that night. :)

Croker was the worst for the knee to the head, but he wasn't the only one.
As the tackler gets to his feet they were kneeling on the the ball players head.
I'm not talking about getting penalised or put on report... that shows a player is careless or stupid
I'm talking about the legal but borderline stuff.
Remember hoppa anal probes  were just a physical sledge designed to get a rise out of his opposition until the refs (& media) blow up about it.

well theyve got the 3 dirtiest players in the comp
CROCKER
HODGES
MORLEY

Croker tidied up his act against the Panthers
Morley was out
that just leaves Hodges as the dirtiest player in the comp
