Just another bitter and twisted Wabbits fan.
This pops up from time to time with them.
I'm only going to refute the last point in the banner because the 1st 3 are just laughable at best.
We embrace being the only club in the NRL who has played every single premiership year since 1908. The only jersey we ever change is the away jersey as do Souths. We may have changed our Marketing name to Sydney Roosters but we are still registered in the NRL as Eastern Suburbs.
Souths fans blab on and on about tradition and blame The Roosters, The Tigers, Dragons and Superleague teams of being sell outs, merged scum etc when look what they are doing? selling themselvs out to Mr Crowe and A Court.
At the end of the day Rugby league has moved on into a multi million dollar business and Souths just don't understand this. The days of the meat raffle are gone, privatise the club and move into the 21st century.
They have been nibbling the cash carrot from the NRL (no pun intended) and they will be up there on the CC.
After the Telstra deal runs out they will be playing there if not sooner. They will keep getting low crowds at Telstra for this year because, let's face it, Aussie sh*ts all over Telstra in terms of viewing and I find it out of the way to get to, and yes I do go to alot of games at Telstra for the love of the game. Why do you think Singo is speaking out about them now? He will get his Central Coast team in the form of the Central Coast Rabbitohs. It is the only way they can survive in the long term.

a joke but then again we say "the pride?? what pride?" Now the junior debate is a good one. What do you define as a junior? Is it someone who has never played grade with any other team? And also one the biggest team in the Souths Junior comp is the Crocodiles (an Easts team) Juniors in the Rooster area has increased by over 100% in the past two years. Newtown also have the same problem with Souths - they tried to pinch theirs like ours were.

What do they know when they have a fan base that has internal fights - can't attract a crowd and have internal bickering going on at the highest level. 16000 at a home ground is deplorable especially in the first game of the season. Over 40% of that crowd were Rooster fans. What is their crowd going to be in 6 weeks time? 6,000?

Lacklustre corporate support - ho ho ho. Souths can only dream about the support we get. They are selling out to make money - they are broke and if it hadn't been for the Junior's club they would be a non identity.

I hope Easts second grade team has a good season but I doubt it. Let me see Hegarty, Webb, Cusack, Williamsetc. Considering they are one for having a shot at us about no juniors they are pathetic.

I no doubt that the No vote will get up and the club will go down the gurgler as they live in the past

On the relocation bit...

I have no problems with the CC if it meant the club stays viable. However, under the current climate I really doubt whether the clubs viability is going to be an issue. The "Sydney Roosters" is a strong brand name which has successfully attracted major corporate sponsors.

The Bunnies are doomed whether they vote Yes or No. The only difference is that a Yes vote will prolong the inevitable.

No interest on developing Juniors...
What has Souths done for their Juniors? I have never heard of a situation where the Junior Club supports the Senior Club financially. Sadly that's how it is between Souths Seniors and Souths Juniors. Now that's embarassing.

Sure Souths provides a path into 1st grade but so does any other club.

Territory ceded to the ARU & AFL...
Yes because its a good area to develop sports. Competition is good, it makes the club work harder.

Lacklustre corporate support and financial losses...
I don't even think its worth commenting on.

Identity that no longer embraces heritage...
On what basis? They are still the Roosters, they are still based in Bondi, they still play thier home games in the same location.
Although they have changed their name, its all part of progress for the greater good of the club.

And progress is something that Souths will never understand. The past is all they have. Even single celled ameoba's evolve.

I'm not a supporter of either club, but for what it's worth, I would definitely prefer Souths to relocate over Easts.

Love them or loathe them, the Roosters have been a benchmark for success from management right through the ranks and on the football field.

Souths talk about the pride but where was that pride on Sunday afternoon? From what I saw on TV, there were more Rooster fans than Souths fans.

I don't think the Roosters have anything to fear. Souths must be the team to relocate

If i was running the NRL Souths would be relocated to the Central Coast and the junior boundaries re-drawn as a result of the population spread and club merges.
