Not long now until the season commences and the club is looking to kick it off with style as they celebrate their 25th Anniversary. I wasn't even alive this time 25 years ago but it would have been amazing waiting to see what our band of Queensland heroes were about to come up with against the defending premiers.

Of course now, I only have two memories of that game.

Jumping back to the present this is how I see us lining up...

7. Scott Prince
8. Ben Hannant
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Josh McGuire
11. Alex Glenn
12. Sam Thaiday (c)
13. Corey Parker

14. Ben Hunt
15. Matt Gillett
16. Scott Anderson
17. David Stagg

Tipping Manly since they've won 5 out of the last 6 games at Suncorp.

Even with Glenn Stewart out they are still a classier side than us.

Nope.

I'd have him before Berryman if only due to experience.

Mind you, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hook try and fit Norman in somewhere.

This will be quite possibly the most anticipated lineup announcement in recent history. I reckon only the coach would know just who is going to wear 6 and 7 against Manly and to be honest, it's a pretty critical decision to make as we all know how stubborn Hook can be once he's made a selection.

A couple of close escapes in that lot including the match where Lyon got to score a try with his c**k.

Brisbane will fire up for this one, 16-6 will be the score to us.

If we manage to win it will be a low scoring match IMO. Our forwards will need to be on their games and Hodgo will need to create some magic. Hopefully Prince is in the side and he can create some try scoring opportunities.

If the past is anything to go by we'll probably see the starting halves combo of Norman and Wallace, purely because Hook has some bromance with Norman

Remember the game last year when Prince destroyed the Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval? God I hope he can play like that again - preferably every game left in his career. With a decent side behind him, I'm praying he can work his magic.

Prince must start - I like Hook but he needs to start putting his U20s fatherhood type allegiances behind him and make some tough decisions.

Are people that concerned over Norman/Wallace starting in the trials?

97.92% confident Prince will start and Wallace will be at #6.

I am terrified that will happen. It will be a very bad option from Hook if he runs with that combo again.

Surely the trial proved that the starting combo must be Prince and Wallace

Before the Warriors trial, I would've said I was confident with Prince in and Stewart out. Now though, I really don't know.

We'll either beat them in a close one or lose in an ugly one. I'll go Broncos by 6 but I'm skeptical.

Hook, for f**k sake, give Prince the number 7.

What was the score in '88? I hope we win by that scoreline.

In reality though, I think we'll win by... no, I don't want to spread the jinx! If I say we'll win, we'll lose!

Not really much difference at all, it's just about avoiding the comparison's to Lockyer I guess.

i'm not so confident, i think he will go with norman and wallace, with prince on the bench. just seems like a hook thing to do.

Where does norman fit in your team?

I honestly think Norman offers way more then Hoffman at fullback.

Put Hoffman on the wing or qld cup.

Anyone else agree with me?

Where does that leave Griffins stupid relief hooker Hunt.

You can't have an average half and a not-even-a-hooker on the bench.
