Agreed. We still played well, just Souths played better. The conditions suit their game more than they suit ours.

our game wasnt bad.

Yes Sandow and Mau made some critical errors and dont forget Semi who dropped a bomb and went for an intercept.

Altogether, that put alot of pressure on us,

Furthermore, our short kicking game in the opposition 20 is attrocious.

I am a firm believer for going for repeated sets just to tire the opposition out.

84 grand final still haunts me

We got completely rolled in the middle of the park.
Had a very hard time making metres ourselves unless we spread it wide.
Souths' game plan was on the money. Play simple footy. Take your chances when they are presented. Wait for Parra to f**k up.

We are like Nigel Mansell and Souths played like Alain Prost

Please show me the words that I wrote that made you believe that was in any way what I was trying to say happened?

I said "Bandwagon". I'm pretty sure your name is "Bazal". I know they both start with Ba but surely you can tell the difference.

Norman tried to get a repeat set at the end.
Instead he put it dead.

Norman really shouldn't be allowed to kick in the opposition 20. He is really not good at it.
Even Kelly is better.

Oh, I do apologise. I just presumed there must have been some relevance to your quoting my response in a discussion with another poster. My mistake  Deadset....

I haven't read the last 10+ pages in this thread, so i don't know how much it has been spoken about.

Manu Ma'u. Less than ten to go. Fourth tackle. A couple of meters out. Nothing doing. Tries to push a stupid ball and make an error in the process. It's dumb plays like that, that cost you footy games.

The smart play would be to take the tackle and put in the kick for the try or repeat set.

It's like banging your head against a wall sometimes. :(

You're going to miss more tackles when you're fatigued from making so many. It's rugby league 101. Why do you think the coach goes on and on about it?

That is true. But they only had 6 sets more than us. And we both completed at 82%. That doesn't account for the missed tackle differential between the 2 sides.

Norman's last tackle options when we are attacking are as big a concern as our missed tackles.

Yeah, it's been spoken about.
I may have been the one to bring it up.

Yep, your right. 25 missed tackles is acceptable and shows that our attitude is awesome because we scored the same amount of tries.

They had 39 sets with the ball. With us missing 25 tackles we are missing a tackle 64% of their sets.

St George missed 26 last week. The Bulldogs missed 25 and Canberra missed 40. Penrith missed 29, Brisbane missed 36 (as did we), the Titans missed 28, Newcastle missed 27 and the Tigers missed 37.

25 missed isn't good but it's not unusual.

Mate i and many others on have been through the pain of the last 6 years. I hate losing but unfortunately have become used to it. After yeaterdays revelation i believe we are in for a tough year. Now we can only use the top 25 it really limits our options. Due to that i think we need to lower our expectations to being competitive, jagging a few wims and finshing 10-13th at best. As far as that goes, losing by a goal kick to the reigning premiers is a decent efort

I'm not suggesting I'm alone in feeling like shit but me personally I am getting fed up with the club in general.

We are a rabble! I'm not blaming anyone specifically because it is every f**king piece of shit since 2006 who hired shit coaches and made poor reactive decisions.

From overlooking JT in favour of Hagan. Ousting DA because you didn't hire him. Getting rid of Kearney only to sign Stuart and then hiring a rookie coach (for the second time in 3 years) to fix the massive mess we're in.

I don't want BA gone, I'm not sure he's up to it but we need a coach to see out his f**king contract for once!

We lost 2 weeks in a row with the same play. We are soft and it's getting worse. The coach, Watmough, they are supposedly here cause they will fix our weak as piss mentality, I'm sorry but we are just as bad if not worse than we have been in the last 5 years.

Souths hadn't won a game without Reynolds until they come up against us, they were also missing Inglis, not surprising at all.

I'm glad you have accepted our fate and although I know it, doesn't mean I can't be over it does it?

Maybe calling to be kicked out is drastic but it would certainly put me out of my misery!

It's cool, I wasn;t having a go at you in the original post. I was using your post to help point out something to Bandwagon.

It does look pretty bad on the stats sheet when your opposition only misses 4 though.
