Not phased by dufty leaving. Honestly most fullbacks can throw the passes he threw tonight, hell I’d even say at least 3/5 of those balls he threw we couldve thrown. Trust the process
He did have a good game but it is too far in between and about time. He even made some efforts in contact tonight.Calm down....there seems to be more to it...whispers have been there for a while....................
1 Man of the match performance needs to be taken into account against all the flaws and who is coming through....We don't know what is happening behind the scenes....Griffin is an experienced campaigner....
I am also sad to see Dufty go, But there must be good reason behind the decision...Lets just all enjoy the win.
And a better coach who shows faithThat is what happens with regular first grade and a few off seasons.
He had the game Dufty often does. A game on the backfoot all game. I don’t think Dufty even had to take a bomb tonight. It was a rare game where we did to another team what usually gets done to us.Maybe I’m the only one but I felt sorry for Isaako.
You are right and Pap does that regularly against top 4 sides. I firmly believe he thinks he’s in that top echelon and wants that coin but Hook won’t pay that sort of money for an incomplete player. He did have a good game but it is too far in between and about time. He can attack I agree but it is the other side of the ball and efforts at times around that.
We played a poor defensive side tonight.
Dufty is also playing for his next gig. It happens all the time when players need to find a home.
I am sad too because i thought he could of been our long term 1 but not when it comes to all parts of the game needed.
Everyone talks about Sivo but Rava seems more of a challenge. Hasn't been the first time he is 5-10m out with no space to the sideline and opposing winger there and he just rolls straight through them and gets the ball down. Such a good move removing the post as out.
Agree he’s scored a few this year he had absolutely no right to. What amazes me is that defenders hit him side on and he isn’t deflected off course even an inch. He’s like a tree!Everyone talks about Sivo but Rava seems more of a challenge. He was our best by far but it’s a lot easier for him to have a game like that when the rest of our team do their jobs. It’s hard for him or anyone to play well if we are parked down our end all game.
At least you got a front row seat of your new fullback.Too good for us tonight.
Well done
Respectfully disagree. When we have Dufty in the side we are more likely to win, simple as that. We even gave Melbourne a scare with him playing. Without him the team plays stodgeball and we lose against wooden spoon contenders like Sharks and Tigers. Bronco's were level pegging until Dufty scores his miracle try. Team lifted after that, nothing to do with Jack (my opinion).Alternatively, do you reckon the rest of the team might lift when they have someone in the backline who can score tries and get them back in the game?
Not really or he would produce games like that on a regular basis. That was probably his best ever game, if the the team lifted by his presence we would be regular finals contenders. We played a depleted wooden spoon contender, had a few troops back and lifted. It was a nice and much needed win but we have to put it in perspective. Norman forced numerous dropouts, Hunt kicked a 40-20. Imo we lifted because of Jack’s return.
I never said we were less likely to win with Dufty in the team at all. I wish we re signed him but we are not. That’s the end of the story really. When he has a game like that against Penrith or Melbourne Hook may reconsider who knows.Respectfully disagree. When we have Dufty in the side we are more likely to win, simple as that.
