PANTHERS v DRAGONS - CUA Stadium Penrith, Sat 10 June, 5:30pm

I really don't know how we will go in this one.

If Gower comes back, we're a chance.

The fact that the Dragons will have a few players out for Origin doesn't mean anything though in relation to increasing our chances. Their replacements are more than capable.

I think Wesser will be out because of Origin duty being called up for Inglis.

If thats the case. Youngquest, Howland or Georgetown will go to Fullback. With Lang not wanting to blood anyone, it'll probably be Howland.

1. Brett Howland, 2. Michael Gordon, 3. Danny Galea, 4. Luke Lewis, 5. Luke Rooney, 6. Preston Campbell, 7. Craig Gower, 8. Joel Clinton, 9. Luke Priddis, 10. Craig Stapleton, 11. Matthew Cross, 12. Tony Puletua, 13. Trent Waterhouse
14. Frank Puletua, 15. Shane Rodney, 16. Matthew Bell, 17. Paul Aiton

not too sure. He'd have to be due back shortly.

But with the form of our front rowers I don't think he'll be getting a look in.

Jun 06 - Here is the Panthers side to play the Dragons at Credit Union Australia Stadium Penrith on Saturday:

1. Rhys Wesser, 2. Michael Gordon, 3. Danny Galea, 4. Luke Lewis, 5. Luke Rooney, 6. Preston Campbell, 7. Craig Gower, 8. Joel Clinton, 9. Luke Priddis, 10. Craig Stapleton, 11. Matthew Cross, 12. Tony Puletua (c), 13. Trent Waterhouse, 14. Frank Puletua, 15. Bryan Norrie, 16. Matthew Bell, 17. Paul Aiton

Suprised to see Norrie come straight back to first grade. Strong side but no hints on who will be Wesser's replacement if he plays origin.

Welcome back Bryan!

Youngquest's best position is actually Fullback and not wing. He starred there for Dragon's PL. I'd give him a go. Either that or put Liam Georgetown.

We are a big chance of winning this one.

With Gowie back, we will have a lot more attacking options. PC has been ordinary this year in my opinion.

In the games where Gowie has been absent our only kicking option is Preston and sadly he is not a top notch kicker in general play. All sides in the modern game need 2 - 3 kicking options and all the top sides have the this.

We need Craig Gower to play 13/13 of the remaining games this season otherwise we have NO chance of making the eight.

Despite the Dragons having a number of there top players out this weekend they have a very good side still on deck. (Makes you wonder about the Salary Cap?)

And now Cross is out and Wesser is in doubt. Luke Swain comes onto the bench.

We've gone from a near full strength team to a severly weakened team in the space of a day.

As stupid as it is I'm still tipping Hookey to come in for Gower if he's out.

Not even JL could possibly select Hookey this week.

IMO it's an ideal opportunity to blood either Bob Blair or Chris Newton. Give one of them an opportunity as they certainly couldn't do any worse.

I thought Newton was probably in front of the pecking order but prior to Gower's withdrawal last week the selected PL side had Blair/Hookey in the cenres. Newton was name on the six man bench with two to be ommitted.

Fortune favours the brave. Assuming Gower is going to be ruled out give Blair a go.
