Round 14 vs the Raiders

Wow, what a result. Extremely fast and physical game, I think that ensured there were a heap of errors. Not a bad game at all IMO and a great test for us. For all the praise the Raiders defence got, I think our defence was exceptional for the majority against a good quality attacking side. Two tries off kicks as well.

More than happy to look like an idiot in regards to my thoughts about Moylan at 6. Duck to water and all that. Few things he needs to fine tune but his ball playing has been exceptional.

IMO Rein was tremendous again, both in attack and defence. I'll be disappointed to see Wallace back at 9 but I think we'll see 9. Wallace 14. Rein, with Kikau back to NSW Cup.

Still too many individual errors but if we can clean them up, I think we'll trouble every side in the comp.

This team is going to kill me. Moylan has some of the best ball playing in the game. The more he gets involved the better we are.

Moylan, Cleary, Edwards will be the next big 3 with time together.

mitch rein has to be dummy half. No offence against Wallace but the ruck speed when he is there is so much slower .Hopefully Yeo is ok .He is a stand out week after week

And hopefully the cowboys can knock over parra-doesnt-matta so we are in the 8 at the end of this round. That would make it a great evening!

Just need Brown or one of those dirty eels forwards to give Thursto a chicken wing.

Shout out to Dylan Edwards as well. Our spine is still lacking rhythm but individually he carried himself extremely well.
Take away that spilt ball which led to a try,he had an amazing night. He looks the goods alright.Like a tradesman's fullback.

I'd like to see some reason to believe the coach has a clue that makes it out on the field.

I don't think last tackle plays improved. It almost feels like the pass it to Yeo on the last is planned. Another last tackle play on their line Moylan gave an inside ball to RCG, and it seemed like that was planned too.

Make Wighton have to make a play on the last surely should have been the go to play.

And the second half they were water behind the ruck. If the call didn't come out to just stick to exploiting that, particularly on the left side of the field, then it should have. And if it did and the players aren't listening then I dunno.

We just seemed to make it so much harder when I believe it should have been pretty simple.

I was going to mention that. But just about every player on the field tonight had a mistake in them. Felt it all evened out across both teams.

How good is his hit and spin? Oztag special and it works wonders in the NRL

A highly frustrating game at times with the knucklehead errors. But like I mentioned earlier, when you're playing league in this grade and the hits are coming thick and fast,it's no wonder there are the mistakes.

Also shows one how much courage you have to have in a vrutal game such as ours.Especially for the smaller players.

Edwards made mistakes under the high ball, but the lights at Bathurst were fairly low set and were certainly in the eyes. Canberra were also the better kick chasers by far. The last try for the Raiders was in front of me. Apparently it's ok to be in front of the kicker...

The raiders fans were getting realy mouthy with anfew minutes to go. The silence after our tries was beautiful. Just beautiful...

Bit of a cop out to blame everything bad solely on Griffin and not give him any credit when things go right.

Clearly was a plan for Edwards to change direction around the middle of the ruck tonight and it worked a treat. Also a plan to give plenty of ball to Yeo who ran at Austin all night, he ran for 200m and constantly got us moving forward. I think his interchanges were spot on too. Got Peach on nice and early, and got him back on when he was needed. He's picked Edwards at fullback when many of us would of had DWZ at the back. Same can be said for picking CHN and giving him 80mins each week. He's also clearly installed a huge amount of self belief in a very young side which is a big tick for him.

I don't think he's the greatest coach of all time but putting shit on the bloke for the sake of putting shit on him gets so tiresome.

What about Griffin playing Cartwright ahead of Moylan at 6?!

If Cartwright doesn't get injured he would've been in the 6 tonight.
If my Aunty had a dick she would be my uncle , we win and still you have the capacity to find fault.
