This is a typical second half of a Souths v Tigers match.

It’s never easy and is always a scrap where we let them back in!
It shouldn't be like that if this team has premiership aspirations. Souths are so far behind Melbourne, Penrith and Manly at the moment.

Shithouse. 26-0 at HT against the 14th placed team shouldn't turn into a 12-22 second half. It's been a theme of the first 16 rounds and it's not going to suddenly change for the final 8+finals.

Yeah pretty disappointing 2nd half, although I can see what Jim is saying.

My biggest negative take home is we have a real problem diffusing high kicks. Our back 3 are terrible at it, we have have terrible for a couple of years now, a real weakness, we need to really work on this because we are going to be targeted.

Yeww fantastic to chalk up a win in such an important game!! We have now moved up to third on the ladder and opened up a six point gap to Manly in fifth so we did what we had to do today and man, that's a great feeling!!

An amazing first half!! Perhaps one of the best halves we've played all year as we looked so ruthless and unstoppable. The Tigers didn't even look like troubling us in that opening 40 and we just kept pouring on some great tries in near perfect Footy. It was great to watch.

However, I think we can all agree the second half was quite the opposite. I'm quite disappointed in that second stanza. Yes, the Tigers were better but we still had a chance to really go on with it and put a score on but we didn't show that 'foot on the throat' attitude at all which is not good enough. The Storm or Penrith would have gone on with it but our boys looked like they didn't even come out of the sheds. Was actually a disgraceful half in the end for a top four side.

In saying that, I kind of forgive it at this time of the year. We still won, a win's a win and in a way, we kind of preserved ourselves once the game was wrapped up. While it'd be nice to put a score on again, I kind of get the feeling wayne had the bigger picture in mind. He is all about timing and maybe this is part of that? I can't see the team doing that in a big game or a game in the Finals but to do it at this time of year isn't such a bad thing. the Origin period is just about picking up wins, it doesn't matter how. Currently, we are doing that and I expect to see the heat turned up once Origin is done and we run into the Finals.

So I agree, we should drive high standards and demand more, of course. But some of the super negative reactions in here are way over the top in my view. Maybe this is all mind games from Wayne and the team. We'll have to wait and see.

For now, let's just enjoy the win!!

I definitely think Wayne told them to ease up a bit in the second half. He is a master at timing a teams run this time of year. He knew we had the game in the bag and we've got bigger fish to fry in coming weeks. A good racing analogy is a jockey won't keep using the whip if his horse is 10 lengths clear down the straight. We need to keep as much in the tank as we can for when we face quality teams in the Finals. Finally, if Fittler chooses Moses over Reyno/Walker then it just confirms my theory the guy has brain damage.

Geez the way some of you guys are talking it’s like we lost! We still got the W and I think that was close to the best first half we have played all year. As we know games against the Tigers aren’t easy so I’m stoked getting 2 wins against them this year. Yes we have plenty to work on still but now isn’t the time to be peaking. I’m sure the boys will learn a lot out of that second half.

We are up 3rd most importantly and you have to be stoked with that.

Time now for a round of GLORY GLORY, that should cheer most of you up, LOUD AND PROUD ALTOGETHER NOW!!!!

Don't worry R20, I'm perfectly happy with how things went. We did what we had to do and didn't pick up any injuries. I don't want us playing flatout for 80 minutes now, I want us to build up to that for the Preliminary Final and Grand Final. I am however pissed about Reyno and Cody being snubbed for the Blues but hopefully that just means they can fully focus on getting us No.22. Time to start singing "When speaking of the champions One stands above the rest"
