Raiders Team Announcement - Raiders remain unchanged for Storm
Tuesday 30 July 2013 3:55 PM

The Raiders have named the same team that defeated the Dragons last weekend in Wollongong, for Sunday’s huge clash against the Melbourne Storm at Canberra Stadium.
Raiders Coach David Furner has resisted the temptation to rush Blake Ferguson back into the team’s line-up this weekend, sticking with a similar line-up that has won their past three clashes against the Cowboys, Eels and Dragons.
The match is shaping up to be a massive one for the Green Machine as they look to cement a place in the top eight and keep their unbeaten run at home going for the 2013 season.
Sandor Earl made a successful return from an elbow injury last weekend for the Raiders and retains his place on the right wing.
In some good news for the Raiders both Jack Wighton (Groin) and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (Foot) have resumed squad training with a view to be fit for round 22, while Edrick Lee is still looking at least another 2-3 weeks on the sideline.

Anyone think they'll bring in Ferguson this week? Ferguson always seems to have a blinder against the Storm, so it would be silly to leave him out. From all reports, he ripped it up playing for Mounties on the weekend, so I think he's more than ready to step up for the green machine.

I think the next few weeks are perfect for the Raiders to prepare for finals football and they should be looking at every game from now on with a semi final mentality. Personally I'm pumped for this game. Hopefully it'll be a sunny winters Canberra afternoon and we can beat beat the Storm like we did earlier this year. It would be great to get a big Raiders crowd behind the boys. The Storm will be pumped up after losing to the Warriors and I have a feeling this will be the toughest game of the season for the Raiders. Can't wait!

The Warriors bounced back from a thrashing from a team in 14th place earliwr in the year, the Raiders will too and will test their character however (and its not an excuse for the Raiders) it was against a a Storm side that no other team in the comp could've beaten today.

McCrone needs to be removed from the halves permanently. First set of the game, we're pinned in our own territory. McCrone decides to kick on the FOURTH tackle on our 30m line. Slater brings it back over halfway, Raiders spend the first 5 mins defending the try line, Storm score, we never recover.
