Round 22 - Rabbitohs vs Roosters. Friday 10th of August 7:55pm

Finally get a chance to get onto the forum after a long, busy day....

Man, I cannot wait for this!! Another massive game!! The arch rivals, there's no doubt there's genuine hate between us and the fact that it is a top of the table clash makes it even bigger. Important to note that it is also Women In League Round and the mighty Red and Green will turn into the mighty Pink and Green this week, hense my avatar.

I'm interested to see how we back up after last week with two big games in a row and there's no doubt the Roosters will be up for this. I think last week, they sort of had one eye on us and let the foot of their throat a bit. Hopefully we'll be up for this too though!

The right edge are gonna be up against it to contain Latrell that's for sure and in some good news, there has been no mention of Graham's injury so he should be good to go.

I'll be very surprised[& pretty disappointed] if our pack can't dominate the Roosters forwards & allow Cookie to do his stuff.

I was just thinking today, is there a possibility that GI is named in the squad on the reserves and could push for a spot? While I think this is highly unlikely and I'd prefer to not risk him, it could be a possibility.

Happy with the Line Up this week and I certainly think Kennar to the wing, Hunt to the centres is the best way to go. They'll have a big job on their hands but I'll back them. Kennar will hopefully be pretty fired up in his return to first grade and he should provide what we lact without Jennings in terms of taking hit ups.

Yep, rumours floating around that he may not be back for four weeks.

Nothing confirmed yet but that's a huge blow if true as he's been great! We also have a fair few injuries in the backs already as well as the fact that Gags and Graham have a great defensive combination. If he is out, we have the depth to cover as you'd assume Burns goes to the left side with Kennar to the right wing and Fui onto the bench.

I really hope the rumours aren't true but time will tell.

Yep our depth is being spread really thin in the backs... I'd still rather Campbell on that right edge as he sure knows how to make try savers... his growth has been massive this year.

I get nervous when you are talking our chances up. Can't you come in with a bit of negativity about how Latrell is going to tear us apart and JWH and the boys will teach our forwards a lesson.

I just hope you're not putting the mocker on us with your uncharacteristic positivity.

On another note, I really don't go much on your wishing of injuries or suspensions on other teams. I noted in this or another thread that you hoped Maguire would be suspended for next weeks game. You have previously said similar stuff about other players suspensions or injuries.

Mate, I want to play every opponent at full strength. I believe in the boys to get the job done regardless.

I would love to beat a full strength Roosters(I know Keary is out, unfortunately) and Broncos without GI and Jennings. Imagine how they will be feeling when we play them in the finals with these boys back.

I just think we've got the squad to win regardless, and don't wish injuries or suspensions on any other team. I just love watching a good game of footy, and for that you want the best players playing for both sides. Also, it comes across a bit like you think their side needs to be weakened for us to get the win. this is not the case, we can beat any other sides best team and will continue to do this.

How good is the countdown clock on Foxsports league channel.

I was texting Roosters mates on Saturday morning with "six sleeps to go".

The only time I've seen them have this clock before is GF week. It's great to see them roll it out for this week. I believe if we win this one we will win the Minor Premiership.

Either way, if both teams turn up it should be one hellova game of footy. I cannot wait for it and wish I could get down to Sydney to see the game live.

Only 2 more sleeps, this is gonna be better than Christmas.

I can't go through the week this week thinking the scum will beat us up... how depressing would that be?? Let's smash em...... forrrrccceeeeee em back!! I'm pumped!! Seriously though I think we can just get home... can't afford anymore injuries to our backs though.

Re your other point I fully get what you're saying!! I guess if/when we have a couple of players out to me it's always nice if your opponent is in the same boat imo injury wise.. I won't lie.... it's all about getting the 2 points each week and then it goes up a notch for finals...
