Both Isaako (ankle) and Pangai Jr (calf) are racing the clock for this Sunday's clash against the Warriors. It also appears that Katoa may have suffered an ankle injury at training, we'll learn more later in the week. In some better news, Kodi Nikorima has recovered from his illness and will be available to play his former club.

It's been a frustrating few weeks. The Dolphins have put themselves in winning positions but poor lapses and key errors have hurt them at crucial times. It appears Bennett has responded by demoting Josh Kerr to QCup so we'll see if that has the desired result.

Isaako and Pangai Jr have been cleared to play.

Te Maire Martin will come in for Shaun Johnson. The Warriors have been playing better footy with Martin leading around, so it's likely a blessing in disguise for them.

Dolphins 34 (Herbie Farnworth 2, Felise Kaufusi, Kodi Nikorima, Jake Averillo tries; Jamayne Isaako 6/6 goals; Sean O'Sullivan 2 Point Field Goal) def. Warriors 32

10-10

Phins Up!

It was beginning to feel like deja vu for the Dolphins. With just over 20 minutes remaining, the Dolphins found themselves up by 14 points and appeared in firm control in the game. Then suddenly they started making errors, the Warriors were able to capitilise and scored some fairly dusty tries to lock the scores up.

Even when the Dolphins were able to extend their lead through a nice set play out the back it wasn't enough to stop the Warriors from sending the game to extra time.

Fortunately, Harris-Tavita missed his two shots at goal while Sean O'Sullivan came up with the best play of his Dolphins career nailing a 2-point field goal to send the fans home happy and keep the season alive.

Farnworth was tremendous again for the Dolphins working the ball out of trouble and getting the side on the front-foot. His centre partner Averillo had some great touches including a line-break assist to Isaako (who should have come in-field) before setting one up for Nikorima and scoring one of his own.

Plath continues to exude all the qualities of a champion club player and was strong in the ruck the entire afternoon. Stone also had a strong game, although it was his costly error that led to the Mitch Barnett penalty try. I'd like to think that error came off the back of his extra responsibility on the field. Stone averages 7 carries a game, today that was nearly double following the early exit of Nicholls.

Pangai Jr continues to prove himself as a valuable pick-up and his carries through the middle lifted the Dolphins late in the contest.

It was just enough to propel the Dolphins to victory, a well deserved victory that's been weeks in the making and it's about time one of these close games fell the Dolphins way.

It would obviously great for the Dolphins to make the play offs and good for QRL as well
