Hate is a strong word. But when we're talking about the Roosters, it is a perfect word. I think I can speak for all Souths fans when I say that there is no team I genuinely hate more than the Roosters. That's why this week is so big. It's huge actually. Going up against our biggest rivals with a genuine hatred, a rivalry that stretches back 111 years with a top four spot on the line. It's a huge week this week, you don't need me to tell you that.

We simply must be on our game and back up the last two weeks or those performances will mean nothing. The Roosters are certainly one of the best teams in the comp so we are gonna need to be on and it's going to take a massive performance to match them, let alone beat them. The last two games have been great, it appears we've found film and are building to some great from but this game will show us where we're at. It is the litmus test to determine whether we are Premiership contenders or not. So yea, this is gonna take one of our best performances of the year to beat them but I know the boys can do it!!

Add in the fact that it's king Sutto's last proper home game and we have plenty to play for. That in itself is a massive occasion as we want to farewell him from his last home game in the best way possible. This is gonna be huge and I can't wait!!

Brydens Lawyers Injury Update Round 25: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2019/09/02/brydens-lawyers-injury-update-round-25/

So Turner is out with a quad injury. Due to Britt probably being suspended for his high tackle in the Canterbury Cup over the weekend, I'd say we'll see Sironen or Amone come in.

My predicted Line Up for this week,

1. Doueihi
2. Johnston
3. Graham
4. Gagai
5. Allan
6. Walker
7. Reynolds
8. S.Burgess (C)
9. Cook
10. Knight
11. Sutton
12. Lowe
13. Murray

14. Tatola
15. Dillon/Sironen/Amone
16. Su'A
17. Nicholls

I expect it to be the same side minus Turner who is out with injury. Not sure who will come in out of Dillon, Sironen or Amone, hopefully Sironen or Amone but there seems to be an injury cloud under both of them so we don't really know and Dillon may have to play. Oh, and I'd also like to see Lowe start with Su'A going to the bench.

Guess we'll find out very soon!

It's that day of the week again, Game Day!!! Geez I'm super excited for tonight, you don't need me to tell you how big it is because going up against the arch rivals is always a clash for the ages. Considering our positions on the ladder and the need to go into the Finals playing well, I'm sure this one will be no different. 111 years of hate, 111 years of spite, it's all there. As I mentioned earlier in the week, hate is a strong word but when we're describing our hatred for Easts, no word is strong enough!!!

This will have to be one of our best games so far this Season if we want to go with toe to toe with some so we're gonna have to be on. The Roosters might not have as much to play for but the rivalry always fires them up nd I'm sure it'll have that same effect. Gonna be tough by I know the boys can do it! If we can hold our own through the middle and then limit the impact of Keary, Tedesco and Mitchell by playing aggressive and putting them under pressure, it'll go a long way to securing the win. We showed in Round 1 that if you can get up in their face and put pressure on, they crumble so we need to do that again.

Rabbitohs vs Roosters, there's no better rivalry in the game and I can't wait!!!

This'll be a difficult game. Easts are building towards another premiership imo and have been brushing sides aside without really kicking into gear.

I feel they have too much talent coming of the bench and should Cam and Sam both be off at the same time, they'll strike for the kill.

Like Melbourne, they're very good at playing the 80 minute game. 0-0 after 30 minutes doesn't worry them, 0-6 at half time won't worry them. They're confident enough to know that points will come for them eventually and until then they'll, complete their sets, play field position and back themselves in to keep the opponent out. They're primed for finals and if Souths are to have any impact in the knockout stages, they need to turn up tonight.

Souths to lose this from the bench in another classic between the two.

FWIW, i don't hate Easts. I do dislike them but respect the side they've put together and the rivalry between the two clubs.

This is how I feel about it as well.

Don't get blown off the park and don't pick up any new injuries or suspensions.

Next week is the big one. If we get carried away about tonight's game, it could only have a negative impact on our finals campaign.

Yeah nothing to win here other than bragging rights.
