Warrington were terrible. Wakefield just played the basics and could have put 50 on them with little difficulty.

OK, Let me set the scene. You are the Quins hooker Chad Randall. Your team is leading 18-14 with just over 4 minutes to go. You have dominated most of the game. You are on your own 40 meter line. Do you...

a) Scoot the ball up and take the tackle ready for a nice territory gaining kick up field.

b) Pass the ball from the ruck to a forward who will drive the ball up and then get ready for a nice territory gaining kick.

or...

c) Run sideways 10 meters looking like you are going to pass to your winger while letting the opposition winger move into the line and stand there for a second or so before throwing a slow looping pass anyway.

????

While most players in that situation would choose a or b unfortunately Mr Randall went for option c. 1 minute later Amos Roberts has planted the ball down, Pat Richards has kicked the goal, Wigan are leading by 2 and Danny Orr has put the KO out on the full. Wigan go on to score 1 more in the final minute.

IMO it was a game that Wigan didnt deserve to win and if it hadnt have been for that brain fart then I am certain they wouldnt have. That is sport though and well done to Wigan. You take your chances when they arise and Wigan did tonight. Just short of 4k there and Wigan had the majority of them too. That Ainscough kid looks a good prospect aswell. Finished his 1st try superbly.

I like Cas. I know, im a Leeds fan and shouldnt say things like that but thats how I feel. They have some good younsters in the team now like Shenton (who should have Seniors England shirt this year), Westerman and Owen. Unlike the other "new" teams that have signed overseas nobodies Cas have done the opposite and give the kids a chance. Yes the have signed a few but the best players there are British. Im also glad Hudson is back. I like him as a hooker and he will add a lot to both attack and defence this season. Keep it up Cas and you may be pushing for the PO's at seasons end. You certainly have the players in attack to make it.

Agree with everything you said about to Wigan game Johnny L O. Ainscough is looking good. Other than gifting my team the win, I have to thank Randall for giving me one of the biggest LOLs I've experienced during a game.
