That'd be a bridge too far for me but you never know.
Still yet to see him put on the after burners..

Hes done so well so far this year.. i think he knows tiny is right on his heels.. competition for spots is so healthy.

Getting dropped and a full preseason did him the world of good too.

Just want to see him really use 100% speed.. hes getting there and can see the confidence is building each week.

So happy to see him doing well.

Edwards will be fullback until someone makes it impossible to pick him over them and as an outright fullback and it won't happen for a while. In one or two years maybe the xfactor players will reach his reliability level.

I'm with you on that one even with your questionable preference for 9's.

Dylan aint perfect, but I wouldn't be throwing him out the door for an unproven rookie just yet.
I did not say right out to discard Edwards, maybe demote him.

I truly believe edwards is the 3rd best fb in the comp..

Teddy and turbo imo are better. But id only swap him for turbo..teddy is a great player, but hes 30 next year.

Ponga is great on his day but is hit amd miss.

Reece walsh is raw and doesnt do half the work dyl does.

Gutho is on twice the coin yet offers nothing more.

Latrell is brilliant in attack but having a laugh if anyone thinks he gets through the work dyl does in defence..

Paps is a great player.. id maybe put him over edwards. But for me edwards just gets through more work than him on a week to week basis..

That probs covers the best fbs..

For what we pay dylan i honestly dont think id swap him for anyone.

Considering hes probs on 500k if that... wouod anyone take turbo for over a mil, same as teddy, king ploddo for 750.... paps for 850?

All rumored amounts. But dylan is easily the best value for money fb in the comp.. wouldnt look out of place in a blues jersey. Hes turned into a real leader for our team

He's clearly capable of playing wing. Everyone has spoken about his improvements this year and that try on the weekend showed his finishing ability. We already know his defence is reasonable.

Of course he can but when you have say Turuva who can play wing, centre and fullback.
Jenkins can play left and right centre and wing. When you are deciding who to keep matters.

Assuming May keeps Staines out this is

I have him about equal with Gutho. Gutho maybe slightly ahead with the ball and Dylan in front without it. If the contracts that you mentioned are somewhere near accurate, then bang for buck Edwards is hard to go past. I just wish he was a bit more durable. Maybe this year he gets a good injury free run.

They are the two we must keep..

Turuva in particular is very very talented..

But imo the way tago has gone so far this year i just dont see him needing to move any time soon. Hes one of those players that will be stuck between positions imo. Probably to small for 2nd row. The polynesian boys are normally filled out by 18 to 20..hes 19 now and only 183cm and 93kgs.

Hes going to have to pack on 8 kgs atleast if we want him to play 2nd row full time. And than he just loses everything that makes him special. To much weight and he just loses a bit of speed and that elusivness he has.

So if him and critta have a centre spot locked down i think it leaves may and tiny fighting for one wing. Too the other. Turuva to put pressure on my favourite edwards.

I like jenkins but i just think he lacks that explosive speed. And he doesnt really have a really good step or jink.

Hope he proves me wrong and can break into the big time. But tiny and turuva are definitley the two most promising.

You need depth guys.

Having someone like Turuva is good because he can just slot in should you need it

Edwards just needs time on the field.

I watch most games live and no one covers the ground he does.

If he plays a whole year. He could end up on 10-15 Try Assists. Add that to the tackle busts and metres gained an you have a great fullback there

Off the ball I wouldn't swap him for anyone. Teddy and Turbo included.

Both Edwards and Staines have had their critics on this site, but Edwards has been epic since coming in after his injury last year and Staines has been very good this year.

Edwards seems to have worked a bit on his ball playing; showed great hands two or three times this week…

My younger brother started coaching so now watch games more intently.

I told him to watch the FB. He was shocked how bad Turbo was
I think some edwards fans on this forum always knew this.

So many last year wanted critta or staines in the 1..

Im so happy to see him get the credit he deserves. Fans and commentators are seeing how good he is..

He will never win awards. He will never be a turbo..but man he has just been so good for us..

I think we definitley dont win or even get to the gf last year if not for him. And on a broken foot.

Yeo, cleary and api get all the plaudits. But dyl is the real unsung hero. Has been for a long time.

He is the most underated player in the whole comp..and im happy for him to stay that way.

Bennett and his team want to chase ponga or walsh for a mil and we can keep dyl for 500. Hes better at half the price. We are getting a steal..

Best part is he loves penrith, loves the boys and is a real team man.

Just to clarify. I think turbo is brilliant. But he doesnt get through half the work edwards does.. been saying that for a long time.
