Round 3 vs Roosters

What? You come to that conclusion because we only scored one try against the roosters? And peachey is our strike weapon, he has more linebreaks than Waqa and Whare combined and a shitload more tacklebreaks than Whare and Waqa combined. If you are worried about scoring points moving peach is the last thing you would do, not that we need to worry about that imo.

nope not just that game. Wait until we play Storm and Sharks will be the same with our attack. Wet or good defence we have no idea

I'll have to agree with betcats here - Moving Peach from the centres would be a bad move in my opinion - As he said, he's been out best attacking player all year - Yes, I do think that he holds the more often than necessary, but he still seems miles ahead of anyone else when it comes to our attack - He DOES need to be a little better in terms of defensive position, but that will come with training and game time.

It is why I don't want Moylan moved. We need more attack not less I would rather move him then not have Whare or Blake in the team fullstop

We scored five less tries that the sharks last year. That was with a new coach and spine that had almost completely changed throughout the year and a new centre pairing. Our attack is fine.

how many tries did we score against Top 8 teams though? We punished ordinary teams as we will do this week and v Rabbitohs. Sharks and Storm we will score under 20 points

Penalty counts:

R1 Dragons(a): 11-4
R2 Tigers(a): 9-4
R3 Roosters(h): 9-9

We better get some f***ing calls go our way against Newcastle and in the following games.

It would be nice if we received penalties for infringements against us. 2 of the penalties against the Roosters were from kick offs out on the full. Must break the refs heart having no choice but to give us a penalty.

We cant even get a penalty for a high shot where the guy gets up with his eye all f**ked up. Or the opposition being offside or holding us down. Stripping against us is fair game. Crowdi g the ball is fine.

In front of our home crowd the calls still favor the opposition. Yes we give away dumb penalties at times. But it looks worse then it is when only one team is being pinged for those things.

Well, it would help if our players didn't give away dumb penalties all the time for a start.
Do you honestly believe the penalty counts reflect the infringements by both teams?

There's no way.

I mean, 7 penalties received(excluding Brooks' kick out on the full) over 160 minutes against Tigers and Dragons? That's stupid.

I don't go in for conspiracy theories. The fact is, we have a bunch of young players who do dumb shit sometimes. Not really unexpected, but should be cleaned up. I'll leave the "Oh poor Panthers" stuff to others. Doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I would agree with this.

Only one that made me go "Oh ffs come on man!" is last week when Yeo was pinged for lingering in the ruck 2 seconds after he got up, yet JWH was laying in the ruck all bloody night and didn't get anything.

That was only thing that made me pissed.

All others have been fine imo. We've been ill-disciplined.

I fail to see how we have been any more ill disciplined than the three sides we have played thus far in season 2017.

We may have conceded far more penalties for supposed ruck infringements than our opposition but I certainly don't see we have been far worse or more deserving of conceding penalties in this area than our opponents.

I don't for one minute subscribe to a theory the match officials are against us but I also don't believe we have been getting our fair share of ruck infringement penalties our opponents have received.

Against the Roosters there were some really big calls from the match officials. We were travelling OK leading 8-0 when all of sudden back to back penalties got the Roosters on the front foot in the latter part of the first half and we found ourselves going in at half time behind. Clawed our way back in front only for a howler of a decision of gift the Roosters a try which ultimately decided the contest.

I am sorry if I feel aggrieved at the outcome of the Roosters contest but I think I along with our fans are entitled to feel aggrieved. Two points were snatched from us on the back of an inept linesman. The players and fans deserve better.

Possibly, or maybe he is just being realistic. I am as dirty as all fans about the officials missing a blatant forward pass that potentially cost us the game but there have been and will continue to be games where we will win a game for the same thing. Against the roosters we gave away dumb penalties lying on the tackled player, it frustrates me no end why we are so dumb sometimes. Clean that up and stop dropping the ball cold on the second tackle 2 mins before half time when we are attacking their line and we might win more games.

Not so angry about the missed forward pass. There are a lest one or two similar passes missed in most games. The thing that gets me annoyed is that they (officials) spend 10 minutes watching replays of our "no try" and the ref cant get the whistle in his mouth quick enough to award the Roosters try.

When talking about how poorly we've been refereed leads to the tin foil hat treatment.

You must be one of those people that thinks every team gets the same amount of decisions go their way and we all dance along flowery meadows under a beautiful clear blue sky.

Don't worry, we'll get those shotty calls to go our way to make up for past matches. At least that's what a Nigerian Prince emailed to me.

Did you know that a $5000 donation to such royalty will result in you receiving 7.2 Billion dollars every year for the foreseeable future?Easiest decision of my life right there.

You can find a hundred of those minor ruck infringments a game if you wanted. We've been I'll disciplined at times but the random penalties ruck penalties have gone against us so far. Largely arbitrary penalties like that need to be less punishing. That said, they are random so we'll probably be the beneficiaries at some point.
