This week's clash is going to be a real test for the Broncos. Last year under Wayne they were able to put together some fantastic performances, but their form fluctuated wildly and it proved their undoing. If they can build on last week they should be too strong for the understrength Dragons, however if they rock up just expecting the Dragons to roll over, they'll be in for another nasty surprise.

I'm looking forward to Anthony Milford's performance. It's fair to say that Anthony has had a slow start to the year and hasn't quite clicked into gear and played the type of football we know he's capable of playing. What I'd love to see from Anthony is more support play, especially around players like Pangai Jr and Jack Bird. It's something he's shelved since 2016 and if he can rediscover it he'll provide that extra dimension the Broncos have been lacking.

Sadly you were correct. We were off with the fairies tonight. Both wingers had multiple dropped balls between them with one from Isaako with the line wide open. The forwards also put down heaps of ball with no pressure on them. It was no coincidence that the few times we finished our sets we had the Dragons pinned in their half. TPJ just realised tonight that one good game doesn't make a season and instead of trying to take it to everyone he just needs to pick a player in the opposition and just go after him all night. Boyd has to really stop that going for the intercept glory play and start putting his body on the line and going for the man with the ball.

Not sure why the knives are out on the match day thread for Milford after this game, I thought it was the most lively he's looked with the ball in ages.

Simple matter is as Life's Good said, too much dropped ball. What's disappointing is most of the errors were unforced.

Also, I understand why Seibold is reluctant to give more time to Flegler and Fensom, but it was disappointing to see TPJ ground into dust in a 70 minute game, rather than have the short bursts he did against the Cowboys. I can't see that being an issue when Hass and Lodge are back in the fold.

I thought Milford was dangerous most times he touched the ball.
Chalk that loss up to nerves, overhype(an unhealthy focus on TPJ who has a long way to go)& errors.

The edge defence was awful from Brisbane. The Dragons ran riot all evening and the Broncos weren't able to build any pressure or gain any control over the opposition. It's amazing the game ended up as close as it did. It seemed like the way the game was headed with 10 to go, the Dragons would find a way to lose it, but they dodged a bullet.

Under Bennett the Broncos would win these type of games and lull themselves into a false sense of security. Either this season is going to be filled with reality checks or they'll learn some hard lessons.

Odd performance from Brisbane. Never really in it but always hanging in there. Then shooting themselves in the foot with bad handling and missed tackles.

3. Pangai Jr
2. Bird
1. Milford

I agree with the above poster, Milford looked very enthusiastic and got more dangerous as the game went on. He will be better for it, especially with team mates around in support.

I thought Pangai backed up well even though he didn't have an impact game last last week. He tried to put on the hits/semi dirty stuff early and it didn't pay off, but his ball running in the second half was strong, especially when the defense was tough. He missed tackles, but everyone did last night.

Pangai learnt a valuable lesson from that game, he's going to be a much better player as a result of that. No doubt Seibold would have been in his ear all week trying to keep him grounded following that performance against the Cows, but early on he reminded me of a young teenager who just got hold of his first bit of fluff and was going off early and shooting shit all over the place. In the 2nd half he seemed much more controlled and i reckon he might have got a decent serve from Seibold at half time. I think he would be pretty disappointed with that performance and I'm glad we got him this week, wouldn't want to be up against him next week.
