Injury update after Round 4
4/04/2011 3:04:28 PM
http://www.mwse.com.au/default.aspx?s=article-display&id=35152&title=injury-update-after-round-4

Steve Matai will return from suspension and Brett Stewart, George Rose, and Tony Williams are expected to be available for selection for Saturday’s Heritage Round clash with the Cronulla Sharks at Toyota Stadium.

Matai has been training hard for his return and says he has a lot of ground to make up for the team following his long suspension from the final round
match against Canterbury at Brookvale Oval last season.

“It has been frustrating watching the team play but I want to hit the ground running against the Sharks and make up for lost ground,” Matai said.
Matai will be rushed straight back into the side by coach Des Hasler.
The Sea Eagles injury list and availability as of Monday, April 4 is:

UNAVAILABLE

Anthony Watmough (club suspension -1 week)
Terence Seuseu (club suspension – 1 week)
Shane Rodney (indefinite – shoulder injury)
David Williams - 3 weeks – knee strain.

EXPECTED BACK THIS WEEK V SHARKS

Brett Stewart (hamstring strain)
Tony Williams (ankle)
George Rose (corked thigh)
Steve Matai (from suspension)

INJURED V SOUTHS BUT EXPECTED TO PLAY

Brent Kite (ribs)
Kieran Foran (cut eye)

Team I expect to get named

Can't believe Seu Seu and Watmough... We finally get most of our squad back and they go playing piddling Pete's... When are they going to get that they are high profile? Good response from the club though. A week on the bench and a dent in their income will be good for both of them....

Silly I guess considering the club's policy with this type of bullsh*t this season, NSW Police should be doing something better with their time and resources.

Seu Seu can stay out completely after this week, Watmough could do with the sit down too.

Stupid thing to do, good on the club for standing by their policies, Choc should know better, but SEU SEU, fringe player playing for a contract thats rather dumb.

Christ I hope we beat this mob.
What a pack of bloody rednecks their supporters are.
I actaully like some of their players but geez its sweet to beat teams whose supporters despise the Eagles. Its that much sweeter.
I guess Buhrer gets Watmough's spot. Geez he's improved a lot since last season. Has the footwork of Watmough without the dropped balls and penalties.
I'd go for a bench with Rose, Harrison, Robinson and Mauro.
Welcome back Matai.....keep the shots down buddy ;-)

Well done to the Manly Club on putting Watmough on notice. He should be made to clean up the Corso on a Saturday night...hose down all the piss and chunder left by all the drunks...
Maybe then he will learn that a leak is not just a leak..

looking strong this week even with Choc sat down for a week in what is a danger game if they go in half cocked at Woollooware on a cold possibly drizzly/rainy Satdy night

is Brett Stewart a certain to start or is he sorta week to week decide on the day of the game proposition with that knee these days ?

are Choc and Seu Seu being made play at Wentworthville on Sundy with the NSW Cup team ?

Lyon should take it back, already enough pressure on DCE and he's not that great a kicker, would be silly to keep DCE kicking if Lyon is capable of it, not sure when though.

LATE MAIL FROM SEA EAGLES HQ: Brett Stewart has been ruled out of tomorrow night's game after a hamstring twinge at training. Will Hopoate will move to Fullback and Tony Williams will take to the field on the wing.

I think it's a huge loss.

Snake does so much work behind the line like Matthew Ridge did.

Hoppa might be a good player but he has no where the skill in tightening up the defence like Snake does.

Snake's presence alone adds alot to our team.

You could see last week against Souths how many points we leaked.
