No Whare, so will need attacking brilliance from jama and waqa to make up for the defensive reliability missing. at least we have consistent halves i guess..

I'd really like to see Simmons in for Mansour this week, but as it stands I'd rather the outside backs set up as they are now rather than Idris and Mansour on the same side.

George Jennings would surely get a run before Simmons now. He was terrific in his two games for us and as reliable as Simmons is, he's not really building toward anything if we select him.

That said if Mansour continues to play as he has been, either would be welcome. I hope its his lack of preseason that is responsible for his positioning and reads. He was nowhere near this bad last year, he usually picked the right moment to come out of the line.

Adrian Davis is apparently named 18th man for nsw cup and showed good form in the nines. Would he be a possible option??

George would be alright but we've already got a stack or newbs in the team. Put Simmons outside Blake and he can help him with positioning.

Apparently G.Jennings had a shocker over the weekend, can anyone verify?

Gennings was found out a couple of times in defence but his shocker was nothing like Mansours. To answer the above question about Scarlett and Sopoaga. I think Scarlett still plays like he is in the 20's, loves attacking but defence is not a priority and does get caught up in traffic when trying to set up his forwards. Sopoaga hasn't really done much, good or bad. Threw a couple of good passes during the Knights game but expected a bit more flare from him in attack. His defence seems solid on the edge. Nothing special. We are really missing BMM around the edges. He's out for another 4 weeks.

Reports that many players are on notice after poor performances with a possible shake up in the line up come Saturday? G.Jennings possibly to come in for Mansour or possibly Simmons?

Heard a rumour that Ivan and Dave Fairleigh tore strips off our pack in the review session. Told a few of the "stars" that this week might be their last chance to show that they deserve to stay in FG. Apart from RCG,Taylor and Segs there hasn't been much effort shown from them for the start of a season. Peachey,Cartwright and Yeo have hardly been seen.Too many more losses early and we'll never make the 8 this year.

With injuries there's not much we can do to strengthen our pack.

Anderson, Latu and Sopoaga are probably the only options to come in.

Unfortunately I can't see us winning this one - Manly will be out to prove they're still a competitive team and we have serious problems with defence at the moment - God I hope I'm wrong...
