I am actually even more annoyed because I was really pleased with Griffin for seemingly making the smart choice of dropping Hiku when he was named in the 20 jersey. But no, it was just a sneaky tactic... the Sharks must have really been caught off guard by this change. How can they possibly prepare for Hiku off the bench?!?!

CHN, Akauolo and Kikau will run riot. Unlike Hiku last week they will play their best knowing they wont just get a jersey handed to them.

Moylan and Blake also to be honest... they deserve theirs this week but you just know all 3 would have been bad for the attitude of the team in reserve grade.

Dropping Hiku isnt a smart choice... he shouldnt ever have been on our bench to begin with. It was dumb to ever select him there and eventually dropping him would mean our coach has finally come to his senses.

I just noticed Tim Browne is also in the team.

Browne has 85 first grade games, most of them from the bench, three finals series and a Grand Final. With that sort of experience, against a hard as nails forward pack, I can understand the coach's thinking in playing him.

Experience doesnt make a player good or better than someone with less experience.

Im less concerned about him then Hiku though. He's atleast a front rower. Hiku on the bench is beyond stupid... and we keep doing it against good packs.

The same Des who chose Lichaa over Ennis? Who put everything into Mbye and Reynolds as halves? Who leaves Frawley on the bench while his spine are doing nothing?

I don't think Des rating you means all that much. He can get the best out of players. But his teams havent been that great since leaving Manly.

Griffin can go f**k himself. Hiku keeps his spot on the bench and Kikau, Akauolo and CHN are all dropped. I knew that would happen... but hoped he finally had some sense.

Our coach is a moron. Lets drop genuine quality impact players and run a shitty centre on the bench instead. Hiku is yet to have an actual good game for us (he has had decent games, but not a standout game) and somehow reputation alone insures he gets picked.

Pressure from the duke. He would look bad if dropped.

Tim Browne and Peta Hiku on our bench ahead of Corey Harawira-Naera who has been terrific, Sitaleki Akauolo who actually scares defences and Villiame Kikau who has a frame that means he wins most contests.

Our season ends today. Ive already given up. Our coach is f**king clueless.

I dont mind it. Bit of experience in a young team. You named 3 rookies. Also unsigned, why expose them to other clubs?

The think about Browne in defence that sticks out to me was Mansour shrugging him off in the finals last year to setup a long range try for Waqa Blake.

That was a momentum changing moment in the game. Every player seems to get worse in defence when they arrive here. Tamou has had some shocking moments for us. Merrin also. Players seem to have a bad attitude and like leaving tackles to teammates at times.
