Well comparing Hiku and Edwards head to head for 2017, the games played is fairly different but the minutes played and touches are similar::

Hiku - 187 Minutes played
Edwards - 160 Minutes played
Hiku - 40 Runs
Edwards 37 Runs

So Hiku has more minutes and runs to help his contributions, which are:

Run Metres:
Hiku - 395
Edwards - 351

Tries:
Edwards - 1
Hiku - 0

Linebreaks -
Edwards - 1
Hiku - 0

Try Assists
Edwards - 1
Hiku - 0

Tackles
Hiku - 38, 7 missed
Edwards - 11, 0 missed

Tackle Breaks
Edwards - 10
Hiku - 4

So I think Edwards offers that bit more, but honestly I think our best wingers are by far Mansour and DWZ. There's no issue with them, it's fullback that's weak and Edwards is the bloke who improves that. Compare Edwards one game this season at fullback to Moylans season as a whole:

Edwards at fullback:
17 runs for 164m gained, 8 tackles, 0 missed. 0 errors

Moylan at fullback (averages):
20 runs for 141m gained, 8 tackles, 1.8 missed. 1.5 errors. 0.5 try assists (Moylan has not had a try assist in his last 4 games)

I think our best back 3 is Edwards, DWZ and Mansour by miles. The metres gained and effort offered both sides of the ball is far superior to any other combination.

Hiku is an NRL quality winger or centre, he was going pretty good for us last year before being injured. He has some shoddy defence but that doesn't mean you aren't up to it. He isn't worth shit on the bench though.
His stats last year were 11 games played for an average of:

12 runs for 97.9m gained (not enough metres for our wingers)
0.5 tries (5 in 11 games)
0.1 linebreaks (rounded up)
0.1 try assists (rounded up)
13.9 tackles for 3.4 missed
0.6 errors (his best stat really)

Dallin averaged almoat 130m per game. Mansour almost 180m per game. Huge help to our forward pack. Hiku couldnt offer that. He doesnt run with the same determination they do.

Edwards, Mansour and DWZ is a beast back 3.

All that said I think Hiku has been far from our laziest player this year. I just think we have stronger players available. If he could boost his workload as a winger to match Mansour and DWZ i would be happy. But I think thats beyond ability.

You conveniently forgot to mention that Hiku has been getting a LOT less game time.

Its ok. 5 games in he only has played 27 minutes more than Edwards who has played 2 games.

He played 80 in Round 1. So 107 minutes in 4 games since. He hasnt been bad, but he hasnt had an impact either. Its really just a wasted interchange and wasted bench spot.

Not because of who it is. But because hes a centre/winger. It was stupid when we done it with Hardaker. Its stupid now.
