Rubbish!

That effort was pathetic.

Tony Williams and Kieran Foran had their worst games this season. Williams just seemed to make blunder after blunder, he has no brain, ever since I made a thread praising him he's done nothing but go backwards. Foran couldn't do much right, just plodding around putting in the odd crappy kick.

Where the hell was Watmough? He played right? oh yeah that's right, he dropped the ball a metre out from the line again. Someone needs to teach him how to hold a ball, get a local U/8's coach in to help him out, the fingertip grip he has doesn't work and f**k knows how he got this far without it being rectified.

Steve Matai was way off, saw him rushing in a few times only to collect an arm full of air.

Ben Farrar showed why he is not a full time fullback, he gets the job done in fine conditions, but the breeze and the rain got him tonight, he had no idea and I don't think the Knights put that much pressure on him. Anybody know what's going on with Hopoate? Injured?

Glenn Stewart has gone backwards, he's not the player he was in 2007-8. I don't know why, he is a good first grader but not much more, pretty much living up to the expectations people had of him when he first came in to grade.

George Rose needs to lose some kg's, he looks like a union prop.

I have said it before, we miss Stewart and D. Williams massively. Their speed has left a massive hole in our try scoring ability, I reckon we would have at least an extra 20 tries over the season if they were on board, I can't remember the last long range try we got.

The positive side of me says they took it easy knowing there are two massive games coming up against the Storm and Dragons, finals not long after, tapering and all that, I remember in 2008 after we aimed up to Melbourne late in the season and then the week after got touched up by Souths, this was a month or so before the finals, everything clicked in to gear after that, I am clutching at straws though, this is not the same side, not by a long shot.

Was pretty ordinary to say the least.

You'll get no argument from me about Tony Williams. I've said for months he should go to the Sunshine Coast and learn how to get a work ethic and some footy nouse about him.

I think you're a bit harsh on Glenn Stewart though. He's not the most devastating back rower but if everyone had a dig like him we wouldn't be getting lapped by 13th place teams.

As for Choc droping the ball - he never lost control of that ball. It was a tough call against him. But he was MIA for most of the match nonetheless.

Lyon was fantastic again last night. Geez he is a great leader. I thought King played quite strongly too.

It just seems of late we can never get two props playing really strongly on the one night. You really need that to get any sort of momentum in a set. Too many times Rodney is having to take 2 rucks a set while the props stand there and watch. Kite made some strong runds but made some stupid fundamental mistakes too.

This weekends game against the Storm is THE season defining game. Don't worry about the games after this weekend. If we can't beat the Storm at Brookvale with all we have to play for and all they don't have to play for, then we are shot ducks for the season.

I think for too long our guys have had the attitude that they could back themselves to turn it on when it mattered, or when needed. This , despite losing our leading try scorer in Brett Stewart , and the Wolfman. IMO Tony Williams has to be dropped , even if for a week. Should the replacement fill in even " adequately" , nothing flash , then Tony can keep watching from the sidelines. Last night , Matai went down again , Farrer hurt , and we only have Chris F-in Bailey to bring on....my point being, apart from the regulars , who would / will step up if any of these players are out? Whare and Hoppa need to be given some more game time before the semis , because if we get a similar situation to last night , we might as well pack it in. To put Bailey in the halves and then to start moving Foran around etc , just ruins everything.

I think most fans expected a win last night , before we hit the hard run of storm , dragqueens and roosters , and we finish with warriors and the beuirut bombers.....lets hope this loss sends the message to these guys , that lose another couple and the end of season trip is all they have to look forward too....oh , and watching the play offs on the tele.

As previously stated RUBBISH!!! And thats being mild. What a pathetic display from many big head egos who obviously know that we dont have the depth to be dropped.. How Fat is george rose, and overweight is King,Stewart,Perry, Willliams,Hodgkinson, Kite is getting very sloppy and bailey is just a thief.(taking money for his efforts). Watmoughs head is too big and has to cut down his extra party cirriculum.farrar runs sideways,as does glenn stewart, and both halves have the worst kicking game in the comp. We need wholesale cuts(most or all the above) and get our cap in order to buy fresh talent. Time to give cherry evans the last 4 weeks to show if he is up to it next year.We have paid 100k for seu seu so lets use him.Atleast he has attacking options from Dummy half.On last nites effort i would not be suprised if we dont win another game this year and miss the finals... and if that happens i will Not be renewing my membership till those fat arses are let go.

Well then you will have some extra cash in your pocket next year because you won't be buying a membership next season. You'd like to get rid of Rose, Stewart, Kite and King? Brilliant !! Perry is gone so that will get rid of the real dead weight in the front row. Rose always has played "over weight". He's one of those players that can. His skills are awesome for any front rower let anone one of his size. Fair enough he (like plenty) didn't turn up last night but don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
Tony Williams is obviously protected for some reason but won't be there next year when David Williams comes back, so I guess we have to put up with him for now.
Seu Seu?? Please. Ballin is an 80 minute hooker so why the hell do you want to pull him when he's probably the rock of the forward pack??

I agree with all your observations except I thought Stewart played pretty well. He had to take quite a few hitups up the middle cause our lazy fat props were just standing around.

I am T-rex's biggest supporter but if we had a proper winger tonight it could have changed the entire outcome of the game. So much potential - so little brainpower.

I dont think I have been impressed with whatmough all year, I thought he was very lucky to make the rep teams based on form.

Whether or not Watmough actually dropped the ball or not wasn't my point, he shouldn't have had it bobble in the first place. Every week you can guarantee he will lose the ball inside the attacking 20, it's f**king annoying because it's such a rudimentary skill, 8 year olds have better ball security than him.

Maybe harsh on Stewart, but I'm not saying he should be dropped or anything, point was at the end of 2008 he was good enough to force his way in to the starting side for Australia, these days he is probably scraping in to the Country side with the backrowers around the NRL. He set a standard for himself and he hasn't been reaching it for a while now.
