I was just curious as to why Rugby Union went professional after the 1995 World Cup? What have been the differences in Rugby before 1995 and after 1995? Do you prefer it before or after '95?

their were many reasons rugby union went proffesional in 1995, the main reason being the increased added pressure from the players to be paid more than they were, kerry packer deciding to set up a rebel rugby super league and the threat of the rugby league super league war which was threatening to take its players
