As with the forums themselves, this section of the forum has certain rules and regulations.

- First and foremost, keeping within the Front Row Forums Guidlelines (which you can view here).
For this forum in particular the rules that are deemed important relate to signatures and avatars:

SIGNATURE (SIG) FILES & AVATARS
Each member has the option of placing a text or image signature at the end of each of their posts. BUT the image sig files have to be within acceptable dimensions.

Sig file limits
Text size of font: 1 to 3.
Maximum 300 characters.
Maximum 100 characters without space. Maximum 12 lines.
Image Sig file size: maximum 400 (width) x 100 (height) pixels.
Maximum 20Kbs.
Members will be limited to 2 images per sig file*.

*There will be exceptions with some image sig files being banners received as prizes in one of the forum competitions.

Avatar limits
Maximum 150 (width) x 160 (height) pixels.
Maximum 15Kb.

Site Admin at its discretion, may remove or edit any signature file or avatar without notification. These include text, links or images which do not meet with the approval of Administration.

If any member has a query about a proposed sig file or avatar, please feel free to email admin on forums@leagueunlimited.com or by making a post in the 'Go Ahead Ask Us Anything' forum section.

- Images with embedded links are forbidden without prior consent of the Administrators of The Front Row Forums. This is considered advertising and is covered under "Spam" in the Forum Guidelines:

ADVERTISING
PERMISSION IS REQUIRED:
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT MEMBERS CONTACT ADMIN PRIOR TO POSTING ANY FORM OF ADVERTISING.
As with any website, it is the site owners who have the final say on forum content.

Generally speaking, advertising or 'spam', is not allowed on these forums.

However, we do have exceptions…

Links
There is a links section at the bottom of TFR and links to other websites or event information can go there. Each website and/or event is entitled to one thread only in the links section. Obvious ‘bumping’ up of threads may result in the thread being locked or removed.

If someone advertises elsewhere in TFR without permission, the post will be transferred to the links section or deleted.

Additionally, there are links threads set up in specific sections - these are relevant to the forum section and are designed to keep the links all in the one thread.

UNWANTED SPAM WILL BE DELETED.

Members who use TFR to advertise for financial gain (without prior permission) will have their post(s) deleted.
The same applies to any political or community based advertising or anything which promotes another event, website or online service.

PERMISSION IS REQUIRED:
IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT MEMBERS CONTACT ADMIN PRIOR TO POSTING ANY FORM OF ADVERTISING.

Those wishing to advertise products or services can do so by approaching the site owners on forums@leagueunlimited.com

- Content - please keep the content of all images posted 'clean'. This is also covered under forum guidelines:

OFFENSIVE MATERIAL
Any material which is deemed to be aggressive or sexually explicit will be deleted. This includes images and in particular, avatars and signature files. Please remember that TFR is for the enjoyment of all people from all age groups.
Deletion of any material is at the discretion of the Administrators and the Moderators.
For those wishing to engage in aggressive and/or sexually explicit discussion, there are many sites which can cater for your needs.

- Beware of copyright rules. Any images caught breaching copyright laws will be removed. If you believe copyrighted images have been used in this forum, please email us at contact@leagueunlimited.com and we'll be more than happy to remove them.

- We also politely request that if you make a post that contains an image that you Deselect the "Show your signature" checkbox before you submit your post. This reduces load time and allows the forum to load faster.

- Be courteous and polite. The people who make the banners aren't being paid for their work, so don't forget your manners when making requests. Chances are if you're rude to the person making the banners you won't get them made.

- The forum is exactly what it's called - a wet canvas. Feel free to show off your artwork.

- Most importantly - don't be afraid to have a go. Opening Paint, Photoshop, Paint Shop etc is encouraged and we want to see your artwork, signature, avatar and so on.

Happy posting!

- Beware of copyright rules. Any images caught breaching copyright laws will be removed.

You may need to elaborate on this.

Club logos and NRL logos are subject to copyright.

Elaborated. If anybody believes copyright has been breached they can contact the website with the claim and website admin will act accordingly to have it removed.

Just one more minor point that I hope is taken on board:

- We also politely request that if you make a post that contains an image that you Deselect the "Show your signature" checkbox before you submit your post. This reduces load time and allows the forum to load faster.

Cheers :)

An addition to the rules:

- Be courteous and polite. The people who make the banners aren't being paid for their work, so don't forget your manners when making requests. Chances are if you're rude to the person making the banners you won't get them made.

The size for Banners has now been upgraded from 20kb to 40kb.

Tim put this in the rules & regulations thread and delete this whenever ;-)
