A little birdy told me today that along with Tahu & Morrison we are also close to signing Paul Stringer from Souths.

According to Tony Peters, the deal is already done. Not sure of the details but apparently we have signed Stringer.

We're really going after injury prone players aren't we? At least we're targetting name players though, as opposed to last year.

I think he will be a great signing. Besides this year where he has been sidelined a fair bit he has been the standout for Souths. He played for Country in 2002 and was been touted as a potential origin player but was probbaly let down due to Souths poor position on the ladder.

It was mentioned today on Sportstalk that Paul Stringer was not even offered a contract by souths.

Maybe, he came cheaply.

Yeah it's been stated for a while that Stringer has wanted out for Souths. They probably didn't offer him a contract because he told them he didn't want to stay.

He has wanted out for a while.I think they expected him to walk.Stringer is not injury prone at all. In 02 Stringer played every signle game for Souths. He's missed this year with one injury but that doesn't make him injury prone.
