I suppose if a decent 1 was available we can splurge on him and move flash up the line..

Even if we don't improve the spine, with Norman and all four hookers off contract we'll need more money just to keep the spine we've got.

We will eventually need a better fullback (and Gordon is off contract anyway) but Moss or French could break out. However while French is contracted beyond next year, Moss is off contract, meaning the only spine options contracted for 2017 are Foran and French. Whomever we recruit or retain, we will need to spend some money, at least for Norman and Peats.

All the other options might re-sign cheap if we can lock them up before the season starts (and good form pushes their price up). There won't be huge demand for Gordon no matter how good his form, and beside his goal kicking (covered by Gutherson) would we want him for another year anyway?
