i agree, sums up how overrated Cayless was as a player. not bagging Timmy but he seems to cop lot of Criticism but he rarely plays a poor game and is as consistent as hell.

And people call Cayless an All time great for Parra.

I reckon Foran needs a (C) - if he wants it of course

TheRam. Give me all your money and other assets.I can't be arsed working and saving. It's ok, I'll give them back to you in 25 years in exactly the same condition. No interest, that wouldn't be fair. Sounds like a great deal?

Timmy mannah has been the perfect servant for ANY club, we've been lucky to have him. He only cops criticism because he's been for long the only prop of ours to regularly contribute. If we had another bookend sharing the workload week in week out Timmy would be much more greatly appreciated but instead becomes a scapegoat for our past lack of prop depth

My favourite bit is how the Ram wrote such a long post about us getting the wool pulled over our eyes

    I agree.

Timmy hardly gets injured, makes a lot of runs (and metres) and tackles per game. He's nothing flash, but he gets the job done week in and out.

If he takes us to a GF, I think there will be lots of fans willing to give him a C.

It could just mean that there are cheaper options than Grant.

Ties in with what I said - if they genuinely believed he was an ideal fit for their top 17, they'd keep him.

But somebody better or cheaper is available (maybe even both), so he's off to a third club.

Meanwhile, the bloke people thought was soft and no good has continued to captain his club and is reaching 170 career games this year.

I like Grant, but give me Mannah's consistency and heart any day imo.

I really believe mannah is set for a huge year. Can see him becoming one of the premier props in the game.

That's right. My wife became a specialist lawn-mower yesterday. She's really good.

Thank God for that. I wouldn't want to have read all that stuff if it was written by a nut-case.

I'd like to see it and it could take us a long way if he did.

But how will he do it?

We've been saying for years he needs an offload do or something to take him to the next level.

I'm impressed with his physical appearance and what looks like a lot of hard work. But will the change in interchange and increased mobility and fitness be enough? Might help but not sure he can go to next level.

Maybe more support from back up middle forwards and our perennially overlooked outside backs can help him.

    I certainly hope so

Cayless played at a time where his skill and mobility made him extremely valuable. Mannah plays in an era where the middle is dominated by monsters and nobody appreciates the tireless workers in centrefield.

Well I think Mannah's a better player than Grant. I would guess they are on similar money, or at least they were when Grant signed his last contract.
