I reckon a play like Seyfarth would thrive here. Bit of aggression which we’ll need with JFH.
Did you watch his decision making last night?
I would rather have Hethro return than a guy who gets pummelled in goal and pushes the pass only for King (flop) gutho to score under the sticks

SEN talking about Thompson and how he plays alot like Fish. What do you think he is worth as he is going on open market?
He hasn't brought it consistently so you'd paying on potential to some extent. 700+ I'd be willing to pay at Penrith but a desperate club will give him 800+. Elite middles are hard to come by so someone with the potential to be there can command a lot due to supply and demand.

Middles generally don't really hit their groove at the young age he is. It's reasonable for him not to consistently playing his football.

Not sure who is off contract here in November, but if the club does want someone like him $700k they should have for 2026.

We’d absolutely need to be moving Tago to afford Thompson. There’s no established members of our squad off contract at the end of next year with Laurie, Alamoti, Sommo and Schneider being the biggest names.

If there is still $500k left in the kitty than a $300k player can be moved on for Thompson

I would take him.
I heard on a podcast he was on unders currently. Over $300k from this journalists opinion.
The Knights have to move a few players on before they can even offer him a deal.

We'll have Sorro, Garner, Paps and Martin as second row options next year.

A pretty good rotation and each can either play middle or centre so alot of versatility.

Mav as the squad option.

I think we only get another prop if Sorro gets moved on early. If he has another injury effect year next year. That could be on the cards.

If Sorro gets injured next year and doesn't want to rehab the club can probably apply for and get a medical retirement.

He'll be thirty two at the start of next season and imagine any longer term injury would be mentally draining to go through.

He's been an absolute stud for us and played well above his weight.

Unless he wants to go play overseas this is the answer

Wow if that's the case give him $500k and he can come to a successful club.

The issue then becomes what if Henry or Smith turn into an Origin guy?

Papalli was our big money signing
True, I see Henry playing Origin 1st. Origin has shown how much it has killed us this year, but still best defence in comp (which is weird for how much alot of us have complained about it all year)
