No one at the club is even taking any notice. I could have made a small fortune this week. Naming the usual suspects coming out in the media with their agenda's of free Burton and knocking the club.
It is all getting tiresome now. He won't be going to them this season. Our back is now up.
We listened earlier in the year but the terms and rubbish that was offered up was just insulting.
They keep offering the same up and trying to pressure us in the media. It won't work.

I'm assuming they offered nobody reserve graders. Not that their firsts is any good either.

I'm not surprised Panthers are now angry. It's at the point they are literally accusing the club of mistreating players.

I personally don't think we'd be at a loss if we let Burton go early, but this situation is more a matter of principle. We'd cover him and move on.

Laundy can say what he likes about holding the kid back but what good will it be for him to go into that rabble? What about Jake Avirillo who'll likely be pushed back to the centres or reserve grade, he's a good young kid too. f**king hypocrite.

The constant media attacks say more about the Bulldogs than us but if they had more to offer, they'd have their man.

Look at dogs fans across the internet. Willing to discard Averillo but saying we are horrible for not letting Burton play first grade.

I don't actually think Averillo is that good. I'd discard him too if I was getting Burton.

The main reason they want Burton now is so they can play Averillo at hooker. Laundy will then fire Katoa into the sun with special device he bought from Kim Jong Un with some of that sweet pokie money. Apparently Katoa's parents can get f**ked.

I don't see why not. Burton was an outside back they developed into a half.

Also, Cleary is a much better coach than what Barrett is.

Burton is a freak. Best mix of natural talent and work ethic since at least Luke Lewis and maybe as far back as Freddy.

Coaching is important, but being naturally gifted can't be coached. Burton is a rare talent. Poor coaching and systems could stifle him, but he will still be above average.

I also wouldn't rate Ivan as far superior to Trent either. He is ahead of him as of now, but he has a shitload more experience as well & much better players at his disposal. That one can be judged in a few more years.

yep, based mostly on a couple of mates of mine that have had a fair bit to do with the JNR rugby league system over the years. They both agree that if he had have been in a better system, he’d really be some player, he has a lot of raw talent.
