He made Edwards ball playing look Moylan quality.

I like the idea of Staines at 1 when Edwards is out. Critter was also starting to show some potential at 1. Trouble is Critter is our best centre and having lost both Burton and Momirovski he needs to stay at centre.
Hopefully Staines has a big off season and puts a bit of size on, and it doesn't effect his speed

We have a 30 week season. All that matters is having a fit side come Round 25. No point risking anyone early on
Its not a risk, its either ready good to go, or its not. If its ready after 4 months, its not going to be more ready after 6 months, that's not really the way it works.

you aren't going to go from a restricted program straight into a game though. You basically get the shoulder 100% then go into tackling and running type drills. That is the extra time to get the muscles and joints right or it is time out again.

The 4 months I said included getting game ready. It won’t be remarkable if he’s game ready after 4 months.
Having said that, it could well be 6 months or longer.

As I said, there is no point guessing or assuming.

Playing lower grades isn't the issue. Lower grades are stacked what is lacking is 1st graders. Playing FGers out of position doesn't do that
No, it buys time for players like Kurt Falls to get some footy under his belt.
Luai and May in the halves for the first month or so won’t kill us.

For many reasons. Being a more talent half the main one
Burton showed this season that he is a very good centre, and runner of the ball.

But he was very average when he played in the halves this season. Not to say he can’t there, and won’t be in the future. But he is not more talented than Luai, just a different style of player.
