Give less work load on Leota and Fisher-Harris, especially against weaker sides. Spencer needs game time to get to where he needs to be. I dont recall those other 2 starting their career like Spencer, I am sure they got alot more time on the field.

Leota was a benchie until the start of 2021 after Tamou left. Took him until the age of 25 to nail a starting spot down. Everytime we gave him a start, he would go a million miles an hour, come up with 3 drop balls, a couple of penalties, and a handful of bad missed tackles around the ruck. He was made to bide his time, learn his craft, and work on his fitness and discipline.

Fisher-Harris didn't move to the Front Row until 2019 - at 23 years of age. He chopped and changed from Second Row to Lock for many years. And he had some shockers in him too. Who could forget the final against Canberra in 2016 where he gave away 2 terrible dangerous tackle penalties in the dying stages - essentially costing us the game. Even his biggest fans wanted his head after that one!

Leniu is still only 22. He has plenty of time to become a starting prop. He's shown me nothing to say that he could handle it - but at the same stage neither had Leota.
The 2 games Leniu has started for us were against weaker teams (Tigers in 2021 and Knights in 2022). 4 hitups one game, 6 the next. His form doesn't justify it. There is a reason we were bringing Kenny on as a middle over him - because Kenny actually goes looking for the ball.

If the Dogs want to throw stupid money at him, let him go (this year).

Except he never really did that with us?

I can’t even recall the last time we actually paid for a marquee player from another team since Petero Civoniceva

Some would argue that Sika Manu and Trent Merrin where 'Marquee' forwards. We also got Kite right at the end of his career. Soward was also considered a quasi marquee signing because he was a Premiership winning half replacing our proven duds in Burns and Walsh.

The rationale behind some of these signings was even though they were past their best, they were winners and that some of that attitude and also professionalism would rub off on the rest of the players who were just accustomed to losing at that point. I believe that most of Gus's imports ended up being dud's because they were either too close to their end or they used us as their retirement village.

Some of that is true, but if there is one thing that worked, the juniors learned how to be professional. Gus said he he hired players for their character and professionalism so they could teach the juniors what it takes to be an NRL player. Fast forward to 2022 and Broncos forward Patrick Carrigan is gushing in the press about how on the Kangaroos tour he noticed that the Panther's players have "a culture of wanting to get better". He has played SOO and for Australia and yet he sees something in the culture of the Panther's that he aspires too.

Someone needs to tell Spencer that there's a reason he is so dominant when he comes on after 30 mins or so.The forwards in the opposition team are buggered and Spencer has fresh legs.Wont be the case when you are starting and taking the 1st hit up off the kickoff.Beware what you wish for he looks fantastic off the bench might look average starting.

Do those stats scream give me a longer stint?
You stated :

"Spencer in his 13 mins on the field. 0 runs, 0 metres. 13 tackles of course the bench is going to be taken off in those circumstances.".

I ask again how do you criticise someone who has never got possession for making no metres and no runs???

I think there is a good chance Spencer is gone as well. He is best mates with Critta. Closer to him than he is with To'o and Luai.

I am starting to really sour on Critta, Gus and Ciraldo. I always considered Gus a double edged sword. Got us to where we needed to be but as soon as we showed him the door he could dismantle us slowly because his hooks were in deep at all levels in our club - coaching staff, development staff and even at a personal level with the players themselves.

Critta has strung us out before and I just saw an article yesterday that he pulled the trigger on a house close to Bulldogs HQ and that was done over a week ago. He was always going to go and was just stringing us along.

Compare that to the 22 year old Crichton, Burton and possible Spencer they are signing now. In theory they play for 10 years, leaving no room for the young talent

He bought in Tregear. Closer to Penrith than Bankstown.

Gould will do what is best for Gould. Always been that way.

I guess the novel version is needed:

48.09 Spencer comes on for Eisenhuth the score is 22-6.
49.16 - SOS makes an error - So we had the ball
58.31 Burton converts their 3rd try to make the score 22-18

59.48 Moses comes on for Leota
You never make interchanges in defence, So that would imply we had some ball then.
61.57 JFH comes on for Spencer

We had a couple of sets after it was 22-18 and no hit ups again. So Ivan goes back to Fish to finish the game who ended up playing 65mins

Again in that situation you always go to the starters

Given yesterdays story was leaked from Critta's side, You have to assume the $700k, Car and 18% ratchet clause is correct.
If that is the case it wasn't about money and he wanted out.
The house is in the Riff, His Church is too so he likely is going to commute. Having Spencer for the drive is likely

No. That Tregear house was for his parents. He has bought a 2nd place close to Belmore but address is undisclosed.
