The Clearys, the Blores, the Crichtons.

We've got a habit of keeping it in the family here at Penrith.

That would be his previous number. They're past 600 now. Tevita Pangai Jr was 602.

Actually he's 572, Jack Hetherington is 575.

TPJ was 605, the next debut will be 606.

That list is wrong - in late 2013 / early 2014, the Panthers retrospectively added two new players - John Wilson (531) and Bruce Martin (532). Also, they have double counted Robert Jennings (listed as 599) - he is actually player 549 on account of him debuting in 2015, before going to Souths and the Tigers and returning to Penrith in 2021. Sorenson was 599, Hopgood was 600.

There were actually two John Wilson's that played for Penrith within two years - in 1972, there was one who made one appearance as a replacement (and later was in the Western Division squad that won the Amco Cup in 1974). That one as far as I am aware is number 84.

John Wilson #531 is the Parramatta recruit who played halfback in 1974.

The only bit of info I have been able to find so far on Bruce Martin was that he was listed as a life member (or something like that) for the Cambridge Park JRLFC, but no idea when he played.

The 2014 debutants then got added, so Jamie Soward is listed as 533, and so on...

Self promotion aside, this is the numbers list:

Someone should tell whoever's maintaining the Wiki list.

CC takes us up to 27 for the top 30. I would guess the remaining places to be filled by developed players.

Christian will do a job in NSW Cup and likely get the call up in Origin period. Will be a good moment for Christian and Stephen to play together this year - no doubt it should happen at some stage (Origin time best bet). would be pretty cool if they played on the same side ala Morris boys, who knows maybe that might give him more confidence playing outside of his brother.

would it be fair to say if we saw Christian more than Staines on the wing (because of performance reasons) - could Staines be on the outer in October 2022?

No way in the world he plays over Charlie. Staines might end up on the outer because Critter will be fullback eventually, we may not even sign Edwards for 2023 and beyond
