I mean, obviously Iongi is better than any of the Eels players. He has been part of the best system and development in the competition. He's our third best fullback which is a pretty decent honor.

But every season he spends at the Eels he will slowly regress to be an Eels quality player and his career will have peaked in his first two seasons unless he goes to a club like Roosters, Storm or returns to Panthers. Which I don't know if we would fit him because we will have about 3 or 4 guys fighting for the #1 jersey by the time Edwards lets it go.

Can anyone tell me Iongi's height and weight? Also need confirmation that he is infinitely faster than Blaize Talagi? :)

I haven't seen Blaize really sprinting in open space but Iongi certainly isn't that quick in open space. He's quick enough but compared to many of the backs in the NRL it isn't anything to write home about. I doubt he'd be quicker than say Dylan Brown. I'd say he's pretty quick in his first 5 or so steps which matters in NRL but isn't really something fans get hyped over. He has ball playing ability but it certainly doesn't look as strong as much as Blaize in that area or at least he doesn't try it as much.

I'd take any the height and weight stuff with a grain of salt. It's often wrong or written down years ago before multiple pre seasons where people get bigger.

Iongi's deceptive strength is his best physical attributes which combines with his good footwork. He does little steps before a big step which means he can cut sharp angles and step forward with power and those steps synergise well with his deceptive strength. Jarome Hughes steps like that often as an example.

I saw Blaize trying to catch Bradman Best. Blaize looked like he was on a treadmill with the incline set to 15.
