Don’t think we resign Kennedy or many off contract players tbh.

This year is the final shot with the current crop.
I see 27 as a mini rebuild.

Ison, Gabriel, Felix, McCulloch, Hassett, Cacciotti, Pollard, Williams, Hohepa*, all strong possibility’s of game time.
Along with whoever else we may bring in.

The big one that’s more 28/29 is Tom Dellow he will be a 10year Shark.

I agree Tracey not an upgrade, but would fill that 14 role and be coverage for a new fullback.
The 6 man bench suits players like Tracey, they can become very handy players if on right price.
I agree on Fuller for sure
The six man bench actually decreases the role of a 14 as you can carry more players that are in specialised positions, i.e you can carry a centre and not rely on sifa out there.
WK at his price is a no brainer if he will take a 12 month extension

There will be a lot of movement in the pack I can see Uele, Rudolf, McInnes, Tuku, Berrell all moved on.
Hophepa is interesting case, as I read rumour him and his brother looking at PNG.
With Burns staying, Trout joining as well has Hassett and Lavender in system
Felix and McCulloch
Cacciotti back up for Brailey, there is a chance to make a good saving in the cap

Sharks will not offer McInnes a contract for 2027 reported on Fox Sports.com.au

At least we have done this early it gives Cam plenty of time to gat another contract, a 2 year deal at Perth would be great for them

You do realise they've just regurgitated what was said on that Thread I posted with the interview?
And they never said they will not offer him a contract. They just can't at the moment.

They just announced him co-captain. No way they'd have done that if they had already made a decsion not to re-sign him.

When you hear any player at the club being interviewed it is clear how high the regard they have for Cam.

The 80mins you see a player for is the most important part of their week but it is only like 2% of the time they're actually working.

Thankfully we dont see mcplod for 80 minutes a week.

I rail on the guy and NRL in 2026 has passed him by but yes he is a leader in the gym and at training.

From Fitzys very first interviews when he first got the job he keep sprouting 2 names. Mcplod and finucane. Fitz came through a roosters environment where guys like Morley, fittler and ricketson led not only on game day but took on quasi coaching roles in the lead up. Fitzy himself took on that role afterwards. These mentors showed him the way.

Look through our roster...we dont really have anyone with the experience or standing to fill that role. Brayleys captain, and hes only 15.
