So who is the mystery Club that want DCE for a two season contract if DCE wants more than the 1 year deal that Manly are offering ?

My favourite stat is for all the "dominance" the purple scumf**ks have never even gone back to back
But let’s face it being a Melbourne Storm fan has been an easy ride as a supporter.

They must have one of the best top 4 percentages in the last two decades.

Buzz said Dragons, surely theyd have to offer him like $1.3m a season for him to even consider it?

I cant imagine him hurting his Manly legacy to a non Premiership Competitor for a couple of years unless its insane money. The again if Manly arent wanting to give him any more then $500-$600k a year (which seems well unders) then he might be forced too

He also said Fins are monitoring the situation and are his junior club so if he leaves Manly (which I doubt)theyd be the logical one

Souths don’t need smith but if it’s 550k as reported that’s not so bad

Wayne doesn’t hold a grudge after smith promised him he was joining the dolphins then signed with the chooks and didn’t talk to him about it

Why is it that star players and even fringe players from Storm and Broncos, that attract interest from other clubs, remain at the Storm and Broncos? No other clubs can lure these players away. On top of that, these two clubs manage to add rep level players to their squad.

But Panthers have had to say goodbye to about 10 NRL players in the past 4 years, because Penrith couldn't keep them within the cap. How is it even possible and why isn't any journalist writing articles on this, nor NRL actually asking some questions?

It is pretty amusing. The Broncos already had a pretty gun team on paper last year and then managed to sign Ben Hunt which should easily give them a top 4 spine when Mam returns. Walsh, Ezra, Reynolds and Hunt is definitely a premiership winning spine.

Then they're re-signing Payne Haas who is the best prop in the world, they're also apparently favourites to re-sign both Kotoni Staggs and Selwyn Cobbo for next year. I don't think they're cheating because there is a whole lot of shit on their roster as well but it does seem odd that nobody ever seems to really leave, Payne Haas for example would probably get offered a whole lot more in the free agent pool than he would from Brisbane.

Don't think this is smart. See how he goes this year first.

Titans probably

He's probably what they need to be honest, a superstar half with experience and brings some consistency to the team.

Clubs should be lining up around the block to sign DCE. Still worth a million which Manly won't pay him.

All the QLD clubs will need halves cover in 2026. The only club that won't take a dip will be the Titans unless they can just forget about the 2015 fiasco (10 years ago now...). Then you've got the Warriors, Bulldogs, Roosters etc.

The reported $600k to be offered by Manly is far below his worth. That's Dylan Brown type money.

Wonder if any other nrl side gives him a chance or he goes back home

I don't see it happening in all honesty. I think its just the opinion of a few Fox Sports numpties based on 2 games in a 27 round season. Same with the Brandon Smith being released to Souths in 2025 rumour, it started there and has little grounding in reality in my opinion.
