No, Brandon Smith would be a better comparison. Chad Townsend was only signed to be a depth player at the Roosters and provide mentorship for players like Walker and Sandon Smith in the halves, not to be a starter. It was only Walker's ACL injury near the end of the 2-024 season that saw him become the starter.

Brandon Smith was signed with the intent of him being the starting hooker.

I get that. But even with Walker out, he has been ordinary on the field most would agree. The meaning is still the same thing though. I'm saying I hope it is a flop if he comes.
