Anyway... the biggest bloody question mark as a Souths fan is can they actually get and keep our players fit?

At this stage I would have zero shock if Payne did an ACL in the 2027 pre-season

Whos to say he is suited for ARU, French or Japanese Rugby? Has he ever played 15 man a side union professionally? Its a totally different sport. Would you say he can just go to AFL?

If a Basketballer did this would you say 'Just go play netball'
He said it. He specifically left to go play rugby

I reckon Wayne has eyes on Latrell playing 6 once Cody retires.

1. Jye Gray
6. Latrell Mitchell
7. The biggest hole
9. Brandon Smith

Just need one of Humphreys/Glover/Ward to step up and do a serviceable job at 7. Call it the Shane Perry role.

latereall certain has potential at 6, he bacislly single handedly won the game against easts last year when moved there. Wighton is also an option, he won the Dally aM from that spots otherwise they target someone else’s Latu Fainu would be a good shout of Doueihi is preferred at 7 for wests

The way I see it, the game has moved past the giant fullbacks. Especially now we're semi-reverting back to even more six-agains.

I think Latrell should play 6 when Cody retires and own the team. He has all the skills without the need to run 8km every match. If he doesn't want to, then he can leave and we'll have $1m a season to find a 7 or 6. Maybe skeletor's retirement gift can be Isaiya Katoa :p.

Bennett extending keeps him away from png

Starting to put together a very good side now if the injury curse can stay away

If the Rabbitohs get the Haas deal across the line, it's in their best interest to keep Wayne, as it is being widely reported today that Haas has a clause that he can leave if Wayne does.

Does...does the clause define what it means by if Wayne "leaves"?

For example does it include if Wayne leaves this mortal coil....

I'm 99% confident the journos don't know jack shit about what is in or out of the contract, and 99% of employees at Souths and Brisbane wouldn't know shit about it either.

They're scrambling for relevancy because NONE of their backdoor channels got them ANY info on this.

I would ignore everything they say, particularly in this deal, of all deals.

The suggestion that Payne Haas called Souths and is leaving for the same ammount of money, I just can't come into it.

We're in a much much better spot than Souths are, even with Reynolds and Hunt on the way out. We just won the comp. Payne Haas endured years of mediocrity at the club, easily our best for a long time there, only to leave after we win the comp for the same ammount of money? It makes no sense.

I reckon the journos need a hit piece and have got no sources on this one. They're just throwing shit and hoping it sticks.

Length of contract and/or R360 exit clause is the only thing that makes sense

its always funny seeing broncos fans not being able to come to grips with reality. their the only club that seems to struggle to accept that some players just dont wanna be there.
