It would be interesting to compare his minutes played and metres gained with props that play smaller minutes and work out metres gained per minute. Apart from his solid defence, all I reckon Woods offers is an extra interchange because he plays big minutes. This is obviously worth some value as it allows you to potentially play a smaller body on the bench but not enough to warrant some of the figures being bandied around.

Woods has average in excess of 155m per game since the start of 2015, and that's playing for a team without any other standout hit up men. Part of the problem is that he looks like Chumlee from Pawn Stars, and that makes him hard to take seriously.

While a premiership this year is probably a bridge too far, we should be aiming for a Finals appearance though. With the nucleus of the team for the next few years relatively young, any Finals footy they can get under their belts will provide valuable experience for the title tilt seasons ahead...

If we can get Moses now or next the month he and Norman can get the combo happening for this year make the 8 and get finals experience and have a red hot crack next year at the title.

900k for a prop is the reality of the game today. matt scott was looking at 800k with the knights before he busted his knee. he was the games benchmark, but the reality is that players will always get paid similar on potential and number of years remaining in the game

i'm not saying woods deserves top $ but the figurs aren't as crazy as some suggest.

if we got him at about 700k to 800 i'd be quite happy especially considering what paulo cost to move away
