Yep. If it was the Titans I wouldnt be as concerned.

Question: Has anyone actually emailed the club? Emailed the bosses? Emailed the NRL? Called the club?
All to share our feelings on how important we believe this is we stand up for ourselves finally?
In the old days talkback radio would be absolutely blowing up with passionate fans calling for blood if it happens.
I think we need a groundswell of fans to let their feeling known.
Objection. Speculative.Did you wear pants to your latest arraignment?
I don’t have them I’m sure many in this site too. Please send them my way also.Send details to email and I will
Ejaculation, spermative.Objection. Speculative.
So no?He missed the back half which is the important half due to an injury playing in a basicaly novelty game. Whilst Parra had to pay his wages.
That might all be true but they can disrupt us in other ways that they can control.Regarding some of the earlier posts. In reality, the NRL has next to no power to force Parra to meet the Storm’s demands.
They can’t withhold grant money, that’s governed by a signed agreement, and even if there was any discretion (which there isn’t), not releasing Lomax isn’t the sort of breach that would justify it.
They also can’t realistically threaten our licence over something like this. A licence issue only comes into play if a club does something genuinely extreme or destabilising.
people forget that the NRL is ultimately accountable to the clubs. If the NRL tried to force this, the other clubs can push back and boot PVL and the Commission, because that’s literally built into the constitution/governance model.
So Parra needs to be strong here and not fold for a peanuts offer like $200k.
I’ve generally avoided criticising management because I can see what they’ve been trying to do, and fans often go over the top when we don’t sign a name or two. But if they roll over on this situation, then honestly it’s time for them to go.
I’d take it, should have been crowned premiers then, but would still take it now!!!Would be hollow, getting told we are premiers seventeen years later wouldn’t even go close to erasing that feeling of loss on the night and then the next year when the rort got exposed.
Over a contract breaking traitor? He isnt the next immortal. He is an ok winger. That might all be true but they can disrupt us in other ways that they can control.
The draw. Judiciary referee "interpretations" etc etc.
Corrupt behaviour then ?That might all be true but they can disrupt us in other ways that they can control.

What I'm trying to say is that we probably all agree that we have had less than a rails run from the NRL over the years.Corrupt behaviour then ?
Widespread corruption because we want a player trade instead of cash? That might all be true but they can disrupt us in other ways that they can control.

I should remember to refresh my screen before replyingWhat I'm trying to say is that we probably all agree that we have had less than a rails run from the NRL over the years.
If we wanted that to change and were doing something that was annoying them, could we expect it to in the near future?
I'm in no way suggesting we should roll over either btw.
But no circumstances changed between him asking for the release and then agreeing with the terms of the release.
If there was no scenario of him wanting to return to us then he shouldn’t have agreed to the stipulation and by doing so knowing he had no intention of ever giving us the option then he didn’t negotiate in good faith.
Which I guess given he’s failed to complete consecutive contracts is shame on us for thinking he would.
And there would definitely be some aspects for review if he went down mental health path, but unless he’s going to level accusations that he left an unsafe environment (and is opting to head to a Bellamy team?), then those mental health concerns occurred after the agreed release. No one is stopping him playing rugby league.
Even if the court is favourable to him, it’ll be months before he’s given that clearance and what effect do you reckon a mental health claim has on his prospects in a high intensity work environment? As big a red flag as failing to complete contracts.
I didn't say that. I do agree that corruption (in general) is widespread though.Widespread corruption because we want a player trade instead of cash?

This scenario feels familiar somehow? Cant put my finger on it?For the record, I agree with you entirely.
I can just envision a scenario where Lomax, and his legal counsel, fabricate and environment of toxicity at the club, instigated by the "false promises" made to Lomax at the time he signed ok for the club.
It is so difficult to prove that what a person claims affected their mental health is, in fact, the cause, that any savvy lawyer would be locking their lips at the prospect of playing that card in front of a judge.
