Just checked we extended him st the end of 24 till the end of 26 as he was already signed for 25. Though a 1 year extension doesn't scream we paid too much for him.

500k on the cap isn't really that much anymore

KK had played 13 odd NRL games. His first 7 were terrible and then he began to improve and show something.
Kelma was in and out of NSW cup and is not a guarantee top 17 player.
Neither would be on 500k+ 300-400k would be a more accurate figure.

The lack of security provided by a one year extension means he is more likely to be paid higher, as the shorter deal represents less risk to the club. It’s longer deals that reduce contract sizes (per year).

Nope, me and the coaching staff thought he was excellent. That’s why he started every game after his debut in round two.

No he wasn’t. He played two NSW Cup games in April, and then only played NRL until we extended him in December after some great form.

No, he played two games, eight months before he re-signed. He actually played more games last year (five actually) after his extension, because his conditioning was exposed in the Storm loss. Once his fitness was up to scratch, he was back in the NRL side. Matterson and Cartwright actually played more games in NSW Cup.
