it was a great finish. I dont think he will see any first grade though. Makasini was exciting though.
Shame.
That body movement was Blake Ferguson-like.

Nothing against yall - just that you guys have a good talent that seem to have the qualities of a future rep outside back. Smart clubs should try to entince those talents whether successful or not#developmentclub
That's been the case ever since Bob Fulton was the Kangaroos coach. I kind of understand we've got to cater for the increasing Pacific demographic that makes up a huge percentage of RL these days.So much for Origin being a selection series for the Kangaroos squad , now you can have the weird position of not being good enough for Origin, but being in the National side.
It’s the right call. Times have changed and we need to keep up. You can identify as both someone from NSW/QLD and someone from another nation. It is ridiculous. You can't represent Australia but you can NSW or QLD?
Just when there is real interest in international matches again, V'Landys and Abdo want to dilute it?
What about To'o and Crighton playing for Samoa? It happens already. The Tier 1 and 2 nations thing is stupid. Everyone is developed in Australia anyway.I hate it... I think it cheapens both the concept of Origin as well as Internationals
I wasn't really a fan of them doing it with the Tier 2 nations but I understood why they were doing it and its been successful.
I think it goes too far with NZ and England though. I don't want to see Casey McLean playing for NSW and then NZ, it just doesn't sit right with me.
Is it any more egregious than Inglis being a QLD legend?I hate it... I think it cheapens both the concept of Origin as well as Internationals

Fair point. If a kid born and raised in Sydney wants to honour his parents/grandparents and play for England or NZ that it totally fine. However I think once you do that you are turning your back on Australian Grassroots Rugby League which developed you then I think you forfeit the chance of representing your State and earning money from that.
Origin is just three exhibition games. Who gives a f#ck who plays in them?I hate it... I think it cheapens both the concept of Origin as well as Internationals

It could be made to work.I hate it... I think it cheapens both the concept of Origin as well as Internationals

Only if Judge Judy oversees the hearing and Dr Phil provide psychological evidence. It could be made to work.
For example if McLean wants to play origin but play for another country he should essentially plead for eligibility and make a TV program out of it. Make them do an affidavit or state dec.
A panel of NSW origin greats can determine the outcome the main thing being we never want someone playing for NSW who supported Qld as a kid or who didn't give a shit about origin - many of the NZers would have supported Qld.
So make them apply and have a "court" hearing and a right to appeal etc.
If you grew up in NZ and supported Qld in origin and then got recruited from NZ to the Roosters at age 15 you shouldn't be eligible for NSW or Qld.
