I think with respect to statistics for forwards a better stat than post contact metres would be line bend metres (metres gained in behind the defensive line but not necessarily a line break). That does way more damage and is a better measure of explosiveness than post contact metres.
That is probably my last idea for a few days - so enjoy.

That Teancum Brown try was phenomenal! The square up and no look pass from Pezet, the Guymer decoy that draws in the sharks prop and isolates Talakai, the soft hands from Doorey to hit the lead runner in Brown and the shape out the back all giving the sharks plenty to think about. Resulting in a 115kg prop going through untouched. Best bit is it all came off a slow play the ball.


I watched a good amount of our games towards the end of the 2025 season during the off season on YT. I made a comment on this thread that we looked like such a well coached football team. Cerebral in what we offer on both sides of the ball. (i know its just a trail) i think we might look even better this year.

Looks like these boys have put in the work and i am super keen for saturday!

I don't think we need to be spending big money on a middle now. Give Junior and JDB another year to mentor the young guys. Sam looks ready for first grade now. Another year T.Brown should be ready and Ryda and some of the younger guys would be close. Backs is where we need some quality.

Koina could be in the mix in 27. I've not seen Ryda yet but this kid looks the real deal. He is big,fast has a great natural pass,smart, runs hard, hits hard.
