This article on July 8 says Foran requested "indefinite leave" from rugby league, told Brad Arthur and has received support from the club. Why are we waiting for the announcement of a "release" and has Foran even asked for one?

We may not even still be paying Foran - it could be the equivalent of requested leave without pay?

So why not deal with a release and its terms and conditions if and when Foran asks for one before the expiry of his contract in 2017, or if we need Foran's contract off the books (even if we are not paying him) in order to register someone under the cap? Though I somehow suspect Foran's contract is off our salary cap books already, since he is on indefinite leave and perhaps not being paid to play...

With Roberts/Taylor entrenched as the Titans' halves we should be enquire about Elgey. He is coming back from an ACL and the Titans seem to be settled with their existing combination. Elgey could be in a similar situation as what Gutherson was at Manly.
