5th Tackle reporting a statement from Hayne saying he will not be at Parra in 2019. He says Parra cannot do a deal unless someone leaves and that our roster was set for 19 at the start of 18 with current deals in place unless we can offload which hasn’t gone well.

I bet the truth is that he wants 2018 contract +50% and we said we don't have it. What that really means is that we're not prepared to pay you anymore than this year.

Personally, I'm over the off field shenanigans. I'm starting to think ( with no evidence) that it was no coincidence that Hayne returned and we went to shit. We were doing just fine without him, and we'll be fine without him again .

Sounds like Hayne is taking a leaf out of Gurr’s book when he wasn’t happy with terms for the stadium, call it out publicly, make it seem like u may have other options in the hope it will speed up the other party reevaluating and coming back to the table.

Problem is I think venuesnsw needed us more than we need Hayne so our ability or desire to negotiate may not be as strong...

I agree that we are a better team with him in the squad, but what other players rant like him in social media during delicate negotiations ? He has watched Jerry Maguire too many times methinks .

Are we though? He's a great player, one of the best I've seen. But I don't think he improves the players around him like the true greats. I think we need to move on now.

Firstly. on field, Hayne was absolutely not to reason we went as bad as we did this year, however..

I can't help but wonder if he brings bad off field ju-ju as I suspected.

Part of me wants him to go just to prove my theory right. Although I'm not too proud to say I was wrong about him being past it, he was a stand out for us on the field, no doubt about it.

Honestly, I wouldn't care what happens either way, if he stays, good, if he goes, I'll be ok with that too.
