The reason I ask, and the reason I question its relevancy, is by breaking down the term. To say "Lib" or "Liberal" in Australia generally refers to people who are more conservative politically, as in the Australian Liberal Party. The term "libtard (or Libtart as you cleverly disguised it)" as you are using it comes from the US, where "Liberal" refers to a leftist or "liberal" political stance, such as the Democrats.

Are you following me? Do you get why using the suffix "Lib" to describe someone who leans to the left politically isn't correct in Australia? People (not myself, because I believe that politics and the team mentality that comes from it, are stupid) tend to use the replacement term "Leftard" in Australia, which is what I think you were shooting for.

Unless of course you were looking to insult people with conservative values, in which case, carry on.

Just remember, this is Australia, not the United States. Terms means different things here.

Look Ram, name calling and bullshit aside, the US does and has a lot of great things, the way it does politics isn’t one of them. And the way Americans are treating each other because of their political beliefs definitely isn’t how we be doing it. The constant name calling and hate that both sides go on with is horrible and toxic, and not in any way an Australian value.

Surely that has to be something we can agree on? I wasn’t picking on you, I was trying to say that the team mentality that Americans have isn’t something we should be copying.

I agree with this sentiment for sure, but the reality is and will always be much different. As for us being say more civilised then the seppos, very doubtful really. We just haven't had a Trump like figure run and become Prime Minister...yet.

They're all the freakin same...TREASONOUS LYING ARSEHOLES THAT SHOULD BE TRIED AND IF/WHEN CONVICTED PUBLICLY EXECUTED FOR BRINGING THE WORLD TO COUNTLESS MONEY GRABBING WARS, INCLUDING TWO WORLD WARS AND COUNTLESS OTHER ATROCITIES.

The power to go to war for example unless actually being invaded, should only rest in the hands of the electorate and even then should be re-elected on every 12 months of any engagement. That alone would stop a hell of a lot of deaths, unnecessary poverty and human displacement, not to mention hundreds of thousands if not millions of potentially newly created terrorists.
