And yet we have signed 2 top 17 players from last years premiers in the last 2 years.

Interesting.

Last season’s premiers were the Roosters. We signed Ferguson from them. Who was the second player we signed from the premiership winning team?
Evans was not a part of that premiership winning team.

With plenty of room for 2020 we should be poaching hot talent.
Panthers have a kid called Shawn Blore, that is one example.

Shawn is a good player, We tried to sign him this year when we lost our young backrower Matt Doorey to the Bulldogs but the Blore family wanted to remain a Panther for the future. Although in saying this the Panthers did nearly loose him to the Tigers but the Panthers came back at the last minute with an upgraded offer not only for Shawn but his brother Dean as well.

GF here we come, what a joke the Roosters are letting us sign an absolute gun like Evans. Losing him really hurt them big time this season. LOL @ the Roosters, what a rabble!!!

Less jumping down people's throats and trying to be funny and more reading and learning. OK? You don't want to be on my shit list or I'll expose you like you know what.
Less trying to be the tough guy and waving your little chipolata around. OK? You don't want to be on Gary's ''list of mincers" or I'll expose you like I did my mate below.

That is really reaching for those straws dude..........

Evans was one of if not the worst buy of 2018 and you are claiming it likes it's some amazing win for BA and the club. o_O

I still hold some hope that Evans will come good.
Wenty may yet be on a winner!!!! Evans looked good being the 6th best forward in a strong pack but he has shown in an average pack like ours he's a f**king nobody. Anything over 250k is massive overs.. And we wonder why we didn't have the money for someone like Hayne. Some absolute Plodders must be getting some juicy overs, our cap, retention and planning since Brian Smith walked out the door has been embarrassing. He's been gone for over 12 years, I just hope rhope the excellent work by Anthony Field doesn't go to waste.

That’s only your opinion, maybe BA does think he has “ready made” replacements.......

Well in my opinion he would be wrong then.

Don't get me wrong, I think that from the little I have seen of Brown, his superior fitness, his love of defense and skill with the ball, the esteem that many at the club and outside the club have of him are all great indicators that the boy will be at the very least NRL standard in time, but ready made? That is quite a gamble our coach is willing to take.

Considering that we are coming off of a spoon season not a season of success, which then generally indicates that he can be given proper support from his fellow NRL team mates once elevated into the top grade. Especially a half who needs the team to be going well up front in particular before they can do their thing.

Look at Croft and how long it is taking him in the best prepared and professional club to find his feet within that squad in regards to consistency. Or do you think that Cleary would have reach the heights that he already has had if not for the players around him also?

Very few halves are ready made when first put into the NRL at age 18-19, if you think they are, you're dreaming. As for Salmon, your dream has entered the fantasy realm.

Maybe he is sure but can’t find anyone to take the one he doesn’t. Or maybe he sees them as much of a muchness and will get rid of the one who attracts the most interest with the least amount left to pay on their contract.

Mate, Moses has shown very little of his talent and a lot of his petulance out there on the field. At least Norman mostly always seems to be trying out there and has a brilliant kicking game when it comes to repeat sets.

I can't over state this part of his game. To me it is like having an old time hooker in your team that consistently wins the ball at around 70%. Invaluable.

Even when Norman isn't at his best, he can and does provide this. What did Moses provide last season of quality, consistently this last season?

Coach, smoach. Its just bandaid shit.

Change it to whoever, I dont give a f**k.

Until we become professionally run and administered club, it isn't going to help us in the long term.

Gary, nobody is saying under BA we should of jagged 3 comps already. What we’re saying is considering his time he’s had here, it’s been a failure. There’s a lot of factors of why this has occurred, but the general consensus with you is that you automatically point the finger at the board.

Was the board responsible for some of the embarrassing performances of 2018? Was it the board or BA that has assembled the team? Has the board decided to pay ageing and broken stars to multi year, multi million $$$ contracts? Is the board responsible for our lack of attack over BA’s entire tenure here?

WE ARE GOING INTO 2019 WITHOUT A GENUINE/PROVEN FULLBACK AND HOOKER FFS!!!!

We are shit on the field. The laughing stock. How are we going to attract sponsors, players and new fans if we continue floundering in the shit?

I was being a little flippant last night.

Just to be clear, I am happy for him to go and think there is a strong argument for it. I have actually said multiple times he should probably go.

I just don't see us improving over the long term with a new coach and feel that yet again a change in coach could mask far bigger issues.

As others have said though, maybe we'll address those bigger issues as well as change coach. I really hope so.

Or since Brian Smith left which coach have we signed that is a good to great coach? Maybe that has been the problem all along? Sure our boards have been crap over the decades, but maybe the real reason that we have been failing since the 80's is our choice in coaches.

I hardly think that it is a coincidence that since our last premiership victory, that our best period coincided with the only good/great coach that we have signed in all the period since. Brian Smith. I also attribute him for getting our club to the 2009 GF. He largely assembled that squad, kinda like Gus/Ricky with the Roosters in 2002.

Name me one coach that we have signed and left here that has gone on to be a good to great coach elsewhere? There are none that I can think of. We have had some very ordinary coaches to say the least.

Maybe if we can finally sort that out we might stop focusing on the board so much and actually like what we see coming through consistently in the juniors and on the field.

As for our supposed quality juniors coming through at the moment, I tend to think that it was Fields doing and BA just nodded and agreed.
