Well in my opinion he would be wrong then.
Don't get me wrong, I think that from the little I have seen of Brown, his superior fitness, his love of defense and skill with the ball, the esteem that many at the club and outside the club have of him are all great indicators that the boy will be at the very least NRL standard in time, but ready made? That is quite a gamble our coach is willing to take.
Considering that we are coming off of a spoon season not a season of success, which then generally indicates that he can be given proper support from his fellow NRL team mates once elevated into the top grade. Especially a half who needs the team to be going well up front in particular before they can do their thing.
Look at Croft and how long it is taking him in the best prepared and professional club to find his feet within that squad in regards to consistency. Or do you think that Cleary would have reach the heights that he already has had if not for the players around him also?
Very few halves are ready made when first put into the NRL at age 18-19, if you think they are, you're dreaming. As for Salmon, your dream has entered the fantasy realm.
