I think a better bench would be to include Kaufusi and Evans at the expense of Smith. I think Reed should play 80 minutes as we looked far stronger defensively in the middle when he was on. His service is infinitely better than Smith’s as well.

All I know is pre-season predictions were very wrong last year, which somehow means they're spot on this year.

I think we would have looked as good as we had done prior to him going off. I didn’t notice any noticeable drop in his performance that would suggest he needed a rest. He played 67 minutes FFS with 30 tackles and only 1 missed. His only error came from the forward pass so it’s not as if he was letting the team down defensively or in attack. He also made 4 tackle busts and a line break.

Well we had f**k all of the ball in his final ten minutes. It's probably not a coincidence that he was rested right after Tamou's try.
