In the current market, I can’t see why Gutho shouldn’t expect a contract around that $700k mark.

I agree to an extent. The sticky factor for me is his knees. Especially the 4 year deal. What if we offered 700k/year for 2 years only? Would he sign? If he wants to leave for 50k per year that’s fine.

He also hogs all the good runs after an offload or quick play-the-ball. This pads his stats while taking opportunities away from more dangerous players. If anyone should be getting the ball against a retreating defence it’s Moses.

Guys I think we should all relax until there is an official announcement one way or the other. Obviously Gutho's manager is doing his job the way he knows best - whether it works remains to be seen.

I love what the King brings to Parra - but if he leaves he leaves. Won't be because we didn't want him.

I’m not sure who we’ll sign, nor is it my job to know. All I know is I’m glad the club isn’t buckling into every agents demands. The club has thrown silly money in the past, not saying he won’t get 7-750k elsewhere, just saying I’m happy the club is travelling with caution. Yet to play origin or for his country, maybe he hasn’t even played a semi final yet. I’ll personally give him a lift to Redfern, so will many other fans it seems if it came to this.

He does seem to try a little hard at times. He lacks the potency of the elite fullbacks of our game.
