He considers himself a second rower, but is better suited as a lock/middle forward, Payten used him as a prop in the second half of this year.

Considering you have better second row options (At least to start) then I'm curious to see what the plan is for him position wise.

Doubt W-T can throw much money at him, they're already paying a motza to Mbye, Josh Reynolds and a few others and getting little value from them whereas Parra have lost 9? players from their squad so must have a fair warchest to spend. It is rumoured that Stefano was paid $300k this season alone and a few other well paid players have left also. We're also top 8 and W-T aren't and won't be for another few years yet. If true he would be a great grab.

Their problem isn't keeping the guys they want, it's paying merkins to play for other clubs. Which they've had to do to 'keep the guys they want'. But the salary cap always comes back to bite them. Eventually you can't keep everyone on unders.

Who are they still paying? Blake i can tell you now was only for first 2 yrs so that's over. Rcg was for first 3 so yes him. The rest they are free.
Tamous leaving will free up 750k also. They also let Maloney go a season early who was on 750k.

Well there you go, there's all those right now, plus it's been a theme at Penrith for years now. Finally making a grand final doesn't excuse that.

A transfer like this, he will end up at a shit club, not a good one. If he comes to Parra it won't be a good sign.

If he ends up at fullback and plays well he will prove the experts wrong, and vindicate the dopes who think all you need at fullback is speed. If he goes somewhere and plays on the wing we'll know he's costing his new club a lot more than he was costing the Storm. Which will mean the Storm got better value out of him. Which is why they perform better on the field.
